Room is clean and the location is very close to Metro. Breakfast is very good. Will go back again next time.

Munich and Hotel Bavaria was our last stop on a 2 1/2 week tour of Europe and was, unfortunately, our least favorite hotel experience. The rings and one-way streets around the Hotel were not the easiest to navigate and we were quite excited when were finally arrived (and found a parking spot) only to meet the most unpleasant receptionist at the desk. The reception was approaching nasty during the duration of our three-night stay and our good feelings toward the hotel were not helped with a tight and uncontrollably hot room. Also, the free wifi was incredibly spotty and very slow -- too slow for even the most basic website or email.
On the plus side, the hotel was within walking distance of the metro and had an excellent breakfast buffet included in the reasonable nightly rate. The free parking was also nice, though you have to be careful where you park and make sure to get the permit from the hotel (and return it! -- not returning the permit adds a large fine to your bill.)
If we had it to do again, we'd seek other Munich accommodations before checking into Hotel Bavaria again.

Just arrived late at night and the recepcionist gave us an free upgrade: a apartment outside the hotel with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and W.C. with bathtub. We couldn't ask for more!
The location is perfect for those who travel to the oktoberfest (I wasn't), though, is a little bit far from the other atractions. But it wasn't a trouble cause I like to walk around the town.
Delicious bavarian breakfast; friendly and helpfull staff.

This Hotel is nice and clean and the ideal location for falling out of the Octoberfest, but that also has its downside, the hotel rooms have no air conditioning and the warm September nights mean that you either lay awake until the Octobefest closes for the night or you close your windows and sweat all night. The rooms are good size, pillows and beds not particluarly comfortable and there are no tea/coffee facilities. The Octoberfest is out of this world, fantatstic facilities and every natiionallity getting along with each other. I would suggest if you are in Munich purely for the Octoberfest and stay till the end of the night then this hotel is perfect albeit a little pricey.

Don't look any further if you are going to Munich for Oktoberfest. This location is 1 block away and the Hotel was clean, modern and affordable during the fest. Don't look any further. Seriously, I stayed there last year for the Oktoberfest and reminded myself to write a review because it was that perfect for the fest. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and have already recommended to future travellers.

There is much to like about this hotel: convenient location with a close walk to the metro; friendly and helpful staff; and the best breakfast buffet we had in Germany. BUT the mattress in our "superior" room was so soft and lumpy that we couldn't sleep. We even tried moving the mattresses to the floor, but the room is too small to do so. The hotel was full so moving to another room was not possible.

We stayed for 3 nights to tour Munich. The location is an easy train ride from the airport and a short walk from the station. Although it's a bit of a walk from the main square, access to the Oktoberfest grounds and nearby underground is fairly easy. We also had no trouble getting the tram to the palace. Rooms and bathrooms are pretty small, but clean. The business office and internet were really handy. Breakfast was also plentiful and tasty. There is a nice grocery just down the street, as well as several good restaurants. We really liked the thai place recommended by the hotel. We'd probably stay again, but there are probably other more luxurious hotels if you want to pay more.
