Quiet elegant hotel on the east side of the river close to the theaters. The staff was helpful and accommodating. I did not get to try breakfast there. Minibar was well-stocked and included. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If I have any criticism it's that the hotel is an 8 euro cab ride or substantial walk and short subway trip to the old town.

Room Tip: Include breakfast when booking

Dear “Bgetz2””, thank you very much for taking your time to share your experience. We are glad you liked your stay. If we have the honor of welcoming you again, please ask our front-desk team for the shortest walk to the subway. If you go towards the Prinzregenten-Theatre, you only need to walk about 450 Meters to the subway, which will take you all over town.
Best wishes from the Hotel München Palace

Arrived in Munich late in the afternoon after driving from Leipzig. Desk was very professional and spoke English well. Car park was conveniently located in the basement and the rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and convenient location; many great restaurants in walking distance!

Room Tip: All rooms nicely renovated and maintained. Hotel on low traffic street so all rooms are quiet.

Easy to find- thankfully since in a moment of sheer lunacy I declined to bring a SatNav on this holiday. This hotel is so easy to find it was a miracle that we chose it otherwise we'd still be wandering the back streets of Munich. It has a great location - wonderful staff who were warm, engaging and very helpful. We only stayed two nights and only had one breakfast - good but somewhat expensive at 25 euros each. Perfect location for cycle rides to the English Garden and the centre of Munich. The underground and tram stops were about 400m away, the bus stop was much closer. The TV choices were a bit limited for us Anglo-mono-linguists but who wants to spend time watching TV in beautiful Munich anyway?

Hotel Meuchen Palace – Room 405. Elegant room tastefully decorated with silk draperies and lilac accents. Heavenly bed, Molton Brown bath products, large tub for a bubble bath, terrace for sunbathing or cigars. Outstanding staff.
They offer a full buffet breakfast including your choice of eggs and bacon. You can enjoy your meals in the dining room, the wood paneled bar or the garden. Best surprise - fresh strawberry juice. Wonderful location outside of the city center.

Dinner at Kafer across the street from the Palace Hotel. The hotel secured our reservation that included a balcony table. We took the suggestion of our waiter and enjoyed a local wine with dinner. Highly recommend the lobster stew – lighter then I expected and that was a pleasant surprise. Chucks of lobster swimming in a cream broth flavored with dill and herbs. Also recommend the soup sampler that included tomato, white asparagus & herb broth.

This boutique hotel was an absolute delight. Our room was newly refurbished overlooking the beautiful inner courtyard. The deluxe room was decorated so elegant and yet subtle, the room also included a small patio with a table and two chairs - a delight for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. The hotel is within easy walking distance to subway lines and the English Garden. The property has bicycles they rent to guests should you decide to explore the city or gardens on your own - which is highly recommended.

The property was gorgeous and refined. Service was excellent without being intrusive. The staff was more than helpful and courteous throughout our stay and was always available to go above and beyond without being pushy or in the way - they were hardly noticed and yet always there when you needed anything - excellent all around.

We got a great summer rate which made the stay such a treat but I would book this hotel regardless of the rate just to be comfortable and pampered again. The rooms include the mini-bar which is stocked with sodas, water, beer and wine which are refreshed daily. Excellent amenities throughout the property and everything is tastefully decorated and new with fine furnishing throughout the hotel and especially the updated bathrooms.

A wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Munich.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard facing room, preferably with a balcony (weather permitting)

We stayed in room # 507 for a week and we enjoyed it immensely. We took the subway from the mainstation and walked from Prinzregentenplatz to the hotel (400yds). Check-in was quick and we were told that the mini-bar was complimentary (beer, coke, mineralwater and spiced tea) refilled every day, very nice touch. On the counter they displayed several German and English newspaper, again for free.. The room isn´t the biggest, but adequate and the bathroom
is equipped with a bathtub and no separate shower(no big deal). An important negligibility:A booklet with the programm of the day on the shelf. On the groundfloor is a desktop with printer , again free of charge.
We had breakfast one morning: eggs cooked to order, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, diverse salads, cakes and cereals and coffee or tea for ( E25), lunch another day (19,50) and a la carte dinner at one evenig (see separate review). We ate al fresco or had a glass of wine or beer (reasonably priced) in the lovely, quiet garden. The people of the hotel are courteous without exception. We will stay there again.

Stayed here twice on business during the last two months. The location is excellent, just on the border of the inner city area but away from the hustle & bustle and very close to the Englischer Garten, which is ideal for a walk or morning jog along the Isar River. The nearest Underground station is Prinzregentenplatz, which is about a five minute walk away and from where one can get into the city centre in under 10 minutes. The rooms are elegant yet cozy, furnished in a mix of French and contemporary styles. Room amenities include free WIFI, a complementary minibar and fresh fruit in the room. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and bar and offers an excellent buffet with fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, etc. Egg dishes are freshly prepared, so none of those dried up scrambled eggs that have been sitting on a hot plate for hours. The bar, a comfortable wood paneled room with jazzy pink touches, is a nice place to stop off for an evening drink, or weather permitting, one can sit out in the lush courtyard garden. I have not eaten in the restaurant apart from at breakfast, but friends who have had dinner there, said that they really enjoyed the food. The staff members that I encountered were without exception friendly, courteous and very helpful and I felt that they genuinely care about the well-being of their guests. The hotel has a small sauna and gym area on the fourth floor, with access to a pretty roof terrace for sunbathing or cooling down after the sauna. Unfortunately, the gym is somewhat under-equipped and would benefit from an update. Apart from that, though, I felt very much at home here.

Room Tip: Some rooms facing the garden have balconies.
