The hotel was excellent with beautiful rooms and super service. It was not in the centre of Munich but in a quieter residential area which was a few minutes away from the U bahn which took us quickly into the city. We walked one day and it only took about half an hour. The quiet location meant we got a good night's sleep, especially after a visit to the bar, where the barman played our favourite (and his, I suspect) music. The staff were all polite and helpful and although it was a 5 star hotel, it did not feel stuffy or austere. I would definitely go back again. Sadly, the pool and spa were being refurbished during our visit so we did not get to use them. That may have been why we got a good deal but we were informed beforehand and to be honest we were there to visit the Christmas markets so we wouldn't have had time anyway. If you fancy a bit of luxury, it is worth splashing out a bit for the Munchen Palace Hotel.

Room Tip: We had rooms at the front of the hotel but it was a quiet area so don't really think it matters.

Very good hotel with nice rooms. All was clean and spacious. I really liked the members of staff, sicne they were all very friendly and courteous. The location is not the most central, but only two or three stops by subway away from Marienplatz.

I used to stay here regularly on business some three to four years ago. The hotel has been refurbished since and it truly is a gem. Choose a deluxe room, nice size, great decor, cannot complain about a thing. Service is prompt, friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the hotel for four of our seven days in Germany in October. Although it was not centrally located, we only had a five minute walk to the train station, which carried us to the central part of the city in less than 10 minutes. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. After touring the concentration camp, we were in need of a relaxing and low key late lunch, which we found in the garden of the hotel, and the meal was delicious. Our room was quite spacious and very clean, and we enjoyed a nice view of the garden area from the room.

This was a whirlwind tour in order to visit the Christmas markets in Munich. I admit I hadn't done much research about the hotel beforehand but booked it as the friend I went with raved about some other reviews she had read. I hadn't appreciated it was a little way out of the city centre but this actually worked in our favour as we weren't surrounded by lots of other tourists in the evenings etc. The staff were very attentive and even though our room wasn't ready when we checked in (around midday), they brought us two coffees whilst we waited. There was a free mini-bar in the room, fruit in a dish and Molton Brown products in the bathroom, plus lovely little touches such as a hotel umbrella in the wardrobe and extra mats down for our dirty boots (it snowed on the first day). There was also underfloor heating in the bathroom. The only drawback, but it was a small one, was that breakfast was 26 euros so we opted to eat out. The first day we found a cafe attached to a small supermarket which was ideal. (The supermarket, though small, was incredibly well stocked and we bought loads of goods to bring home with us). There was a small spa/gym area but this was being refurbished. However, given our limited time, it was possible we wouldn't have used it anyway. As we were there at the end of November, the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and on the day we were leaving, they had built a wooden cabin from where they were going to serve mulled wine. I would definitely use that hotel again and would be happy to recommend it to any of my friends.

Room Tip: There were some garden rooms at the back with very nice views but we were overlooking the street - w...

Stayed here for a business trip. Overall a very nice place. My room was small but it was all I needed. Breakfast was good. My flight came in late and everything including the banks were closed. Called the hotel and they put the cab fare on my room. The bar area is nice and the bartender was outstanding. Really made for a nice stay. It's close to some shopping and a short walk to the subway or to Old Munich. I would stay here again.

The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the U-Bahn (Prinzregentenplaz). Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and welcoming. Staff are very friendly and their service excellent. Its close proximity to the U-Bahn makes this a suitable place to stay if you are sight seeing or on business.
The only thing I would ask the hotel to do is supply tea/coffee making facilities.

Room Tip: We had a room that faced on to the courtyard, very quiet. However I would think that all rooms are...
