If you are looking ofr an easy access to München, this is a very good hotel for it.
Rooms are clean and of average size, and it only takes a couple of minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof or a few minuts more to the city centre.
Breakfast is simply splendid and the staff knows their business.

Nice Hotel with the BAVARIAN SPECIAL TOUCH
would recommend it as the rooms are giving a special bavarian picture.
It is close to the station and as well to the center (walking distance)
A choise of restaurants are very close, but it is on the oposite side of a busy area- as well at night, but would not recommend to try this area to go out on the evening

I have visited Munich for many years as I have family there and what I love about this place is that you actually feel like you are in Bavaria. I usually have quite modern taste and stay in fancy hotels but sometimes the culture can be lost but with this place it feels like you have a taste of the culture. The rooms are classically decorated and have oil paintings and four poster bed with a crown on it.
This place is clean and very reasonably priced. If this place was more expensive I wouldn't stay there as it has no gym but at its current price it's fantastic value. The staff are friendly and the main station is only down the road. Don't be put off by boobs table dance down the road. The fact is the Germans are really open about their sexuality and it doesn't have that seedyness that you would experience in other countries. There are many sex shops etc throughout Munich but it's fine.
Security is excellent and this hotel feels safe.
The ONLY thing I missed with this place is not having a gym to go to. I didn't really fancy trying the sauna as the thought of getting up close and personal with strangers didn't appeal to me. If this place had a gym I would think of it as the perfect hotel.

Room Tip: netto next door for drinks and snacks.

Was here for 2 nights. The rooms are tiny and a bit dark. The internet is not for free, as it is indicated in some booking sites. Instead you get a 30 minutes pass for free and can then order it by yourself at swisscom wifi provider. The rooms are complete, feature ipod radio, coffee machine, (pay-)TV, etc. Moreover they have a scale for controlling your weight in each bathroom. First hotel I experienced such a feature (I even do not have it at home).

The breakfast is very good as already indicated by other reviews. Overall a good recommendation

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of April. The hotel really is very nice, and worth its star rating. Staff were very nice, & spoke to us every time we passed through the lobby. They also made helpful recommendations for us during our stay as well. Yes, there is a Lap Dancing club called (funnily enough) "Boobs" at the corner of the street, opposite the hotel, but we never saw anything shady going on there. Our room , with 2 twin beds, was tastefully decorated, roomy (as European hotels go), had a good sized bathroom, and had a small fridge, a safe, and an alarm clock with an ipod charger/player. However, the wi-fi was terribly expensive, which was disappointing. I feel like the hotel could allow their guests at least an hour or two of free internet a day, and charge for more usage than that. There is a small grocery store next door, which was handy for us to pick up some snacks for our train trip from Munich to Vienna. We had a street side room, but the noise was minimal. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, as we thought it was a bit overpriced at 15 Euro.

Well I was looking for something close to the train station so I scoured
TripAdvisor as usual. Lucked out with this really nice hotel. The receptionist
worry very nice and cordial. The room was well decorated and very cozy
including a half crown above the bed (see pic). A well stocked coffee maker.
One of those you put the capsule of coffee grounds with different flavors. Loved that!
The room actually had oil paintings adding a homey touch.
We went to try out the restaurante and it was closed. We went to have something
litght in the lounge across from reception but the poor guy there said it would be a while
since he's the cook and the waiter but very apologetic about it. It would have been nice to stay in because it was warm and cozy. We were starved so we decided to eat out.

We came back and tried out the spa and fortunately we were the only ones there.
It's a little small so I don't think 4 people is the max to use the facility at once...
I really enjoyed the warm, comfortable and welcoming vibe I got from the hotel and would
love to stay here again!

My husband and I had a city break staying at the Kings Hotel First Class Munich in February 2011 and can only sing its praises! It is an excellent hotel on many levels - it is located 5 minutes walk from the central station and Munich bus tours and a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Munich itself. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are furnished in typical Bavarian style with beautiful wooden panelling - the beds are very comfortable and the in room coffee maker was very much appreciated. I suggest you buy some milk in Netto next door! Also, the bar is expensive and again it would be a good idea to stock up in Netto! The breakfasts were superb, with plenty of choices and very attentive and polite staff. I was fascinated with the daily greeting on the lift mat wishing you a nice day, changed each day along with the weather report! The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and polite and always willing to assist with any queries. We would recommend this hotel to anyone without reservation and would not hesitate to stay there again on any future trips to Munich.
The references in some reviews of this hotel to the area being seedy we found were not relevant - yes there is a dance club over the road but it was always quiet and we felt very safe.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
