“Professional & Trendy”
Reviewed 30 March 2012

Le Meridien in Munich is top of their class - top service, good location and trendy design.
I felt very pleasant in hotel bar playing lounge music, enjoyed breakfast and my room.
Coming back from beergarten after midnight - and packing for departure early next morning - my safe got blocked - night porter came to my room within minutes - and as he was not able to open it promised he would call technician early in the morning. 6.30. Technician was in my room - and safe opened.
I have to admit I was worried he would be late and I might have problems with my flight - but all was as promised and I really appreciate it.
Reliable service is what puts this hotel over other hotels in the Starwood group I stayed in.

A hotel with excellent location just in front of the main railway station in Munich. The double room was quite spacious and well equipped with necessities. The only drawback in the room is lack of wireless internet and also charging guests for the internet. The cost of the room included enjoying a breakfast buffet which was quite satisfying. When using the business center which was a bit cozy, you also needed to pay for the internet apart from the first 15 minutes.

Recently stayed at Le Meridien and was extremely impressed by the service received starting with the check-in and continuing throughout my stay in the restaurant and bar. Stayed in one of their upgraded rooms overlooking the courtyard. The room was extremely nice and very quiet. The train station is immediately across the street and within walking distance of most of the major attractions within Munich. Probably the only disappointment was the lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms.

If coming from airport get the train (10 euros each). Taxi 61 euros and station is right across street.

Rooms have opening doors for fresh air but book garden view. Reception were very frienfly and Consierge was fantastic. for the quiet.

Don't have breakfast - too expensive. Eat in Karstatd restaurant just up road - two breakfast for less than one at hotel

My room was huge. It faced the courtyard and was quite quiet. The decor was modern and stylish, but not the most ergonomic. The bedding was a little strange - perhaps it's common in Europe and I am just not used to it - there was two twin sized thin comforters on the bed instead of one king size one on a king size bed. Very nice and functional bathroom. One complaint was that they didn't have wireless internet in the rooms and the high speed internet (cable physically attached to my laptop) kept logging me out despite paying either 19 euros for a 24 hour period. The gentleman at the concierge was the most helpful. He gave me recommendations to the most fun restaurants and beer halls. He also gave me free tickets to the BMW museum (worth seeing - the cars and motorcycles made me drool).
Good breakfast with wide variety of selection. I was surprised to see that they had congee with seaweed and pickles along with a variety of sausages.
The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was a 3 minute walk to the main train station. It was also within walking distance to Marienplatz although a longer walk (about 20 minutes)

It was great to have the late check out facility and enjoy all the comforts of the leisure centre on a cold wet winter day. Except for wanting to charge us €50 to open the door of our connecting rooms???? this hotel was great value. Still can't figure out the rationale of a €50 "door opening" fee though...

Room Tip: open the door between the rooms yourself

Dear Kit011, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We are sorry for not making clear that the additional charge was for the higher room category and not for the connecting door. Certainly your comments have been communicated within the entire team in order for us to avoid this kind of misunderstanding in the future.
Furthermore we are really happy to hear that you enjoyed our wellness area and the later check out.
Hopefully your travels will lead to the Bavarian metropolis in the near future and we will be looking forward to welcoming you back at Le Méridien Munich then.
Kind regards
Susan Schiekel

Excellent location, upgraded modern hotel with a nice ambience just opposite the main station.
We were there just for the night, checked in late and left at 9 am.

Our room was cute, the Concierge suggested a good place for dinner - the Anna Cafe near the station which was full of young professional people.

Standard good hotel, one I would stay in again.

Room Tip: Try the upgraded rooms.
