If you are looking for a nice place to stay during a tourist visit to Munich, this is NOT the place. In desperate need of modernization and updating this hotel is old, set back amongst trees and difficult to find if you do not have a car or a navigation system. Public transport is a bus and the hotel is located almost out of the city. The entire hotel smells of cigarette smoke even though it is a non-smoking hotel. Perhaps it is from the guest, staff or maid service but it still smells and is a bother if you are smoke sensitive. Rooms are somewhat clean but old. Bathroom tiles are stained with old mold set in cracked tiles and gout. Carpets are stained in rooms and in the hallways. Internet is terrible as it is very slow to connect and expensive. Not worth paying the price for such terrible connection and speed. Staff is friendly and open to trying to accommodate special wishes. Breakfast was a very large spread with quality food. Parking is expensive for the location and is covered yet set apart from the hotel. If bad weather you will get wet just having to walk from the garage to the hotel.
This hotel is mostly for large tour bus groups and people passing through on business or workshops at the hotel. Rack rate is listed at Euro 379 per night. NEVER pay this as this hotel is not worth more than 150 Euro per night.
