Very centrally located hotel which although not luxurious, is very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. Good selection of TV channels but unfortunately, I didn't find any in English. The staff were very charming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful and good value.
The area around the hotel is not the absolute best, but is still clean and safe, Some of the bars around have somewhat of a shady reputation, but this would only trouble you if you made a conscious choice to go into any of them
All in all, I would have absolutely no hesitaion in recommending this hotel to the mid-budget traveller. It is well worth the money

It's less than 10 minutes from the Main Station. It's not the nicest area. I didn't feel unsafe (male traveler) but if you're a woman, you might feel a bit scared at night.

The hotel looks old in the hallway and in the room but clean, not dirty. It's not too bad to be annoyed with, in my opinion.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming - the kind of people that make you feel welcomed in a foreign land.

Me & 13 of my friends came here for 3 nights for my mates stag do. What a city. Fantastic place, we were lucky to be here in the hotest weekend of the year when they had a festival on so the atmosphere was amazing.

Hotel was clean, beds & towels changed everyday, 10 minutes from the hauptobahnof station so jump on s1 or s8 trains at the airport & it's easy to find. It's only 15mins from the centre of Marianplatz but a 12euro taxi ride to the nightclubs of ostbahnhof. Hotel isn't in the greatest of areas as it's a very Turkish street but we went to their smoking bong joints & they are really friendly.

Building work was going on at the hotel but we never heard a peep out of it, it's mainly modernisation so will be the better for it. Our corridor was very messy because of this but the other floors were fine. Didnt try the breakfast as it was 9euro & there are plently of other places to get a beter selection.

Staff very friendly but all Germans are so it's as you would expect!

Hotel is dated but not in a very bad way, just not a slick modern affair, more of a B&B.

Mini bar in room was handy & prices wern't too pricey.

For the price we paid for the location it is in then this hotel is a real bargain.

Room Tip: Try to ask for one at the back of the hotel as the main road at the front can have a bit of noise if...

Take heed travelers...the Hotel Deutsches Theater in Munich is not a good place to stay right now !! I thought after reading other reviews that maybe the construction was over...but it is not, in fact they said it may go on for another 4 years !! The location is fantastic for train travel, but believe me, it is not a good place to stay right now. We had a rental car and couldn't begin to park on the street even to check in !! They were helpful to hold the bags and make recommendations, but overall it is a BAD choice until 2016 !

The hotel is a work in progress. A building site! Has been for 3 years, but not mentioned, or shown in any photos! Was locked out of the hotel on 2nd night, as reception notice says closes at 12am ! But closed at 11.30. So could not even sleep in my room! A total shambles, only bomber Harris could improve this Hotel!

This hotel has all the makings of a very nice experience except that essentially no maintenance seems to have been done for about 7 years. The walls are scarred, the TV old, the WIFI old fashioned, the mattresses feel like dormitory demos. The lighting is pathetic. The tub is scarred from people dropping the shower since they used a cheap shower head. The safe is out of the 1950s key and all

But out room was large, the staff was friendly and the breakfast excellent.
