“Good stay with no issues”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Stayed for three nights with no issues. Close to the train station, 5 minutes’ walk from the shops and plenty of food places close by. The bar has just had a refurb (can't say what it was like before) and the rooms were good and clean. Toilets and showers were also good. No complaints for the price, would use again.

Yes this is an older hotel but it is positioned close to the Munich hbf and was ideal for Oktoberfest (just an easy 6-8 min walk away).

Room was large with a good sized bathroom. Staff were friendly and willing to assist with directions etc.

I would stay here again as it represented good value for money.

Stayed for four nights with my wife. The hotel was easy to find from the train station.

The room itself (33) was fairly spacious with a large bathroom. The linen was nice and clean but the walls were covered in stains and the carpet could do with a clean.

Overall I can't complain too much as we had 4 nights of good sleep with no noise at all.

....We stay here every year for Oktoberfest. This is our 5th year. I doubt that we will return next year. What used to be an excellent hotel, is now looking tired, the building work they are doing and have been doing for the last 5 years is still talking place with little progress. To be fair this didn't disturb us too much, but we did have the window closed. I can ignore the improvements, but the greeting and level of service we got on arrival (and continued to get by one individual) was nothing short of rude. I do not like airing my personal thoughts or values online, so if any members would like to contact me to discuss, please do. Just to clarify a couple of other points:-
- You do not have to pay for WiFi, this is free in reception.
- The hotel is very well located for Oktoberfest. The area is fine, as long as you are sensible.
- I am disappointed to have to write this review, last time I wrote my review for this hotel, it was 5 stars.

Room Tip: Look elsewhere

The hotel is 2 1/2 blocks from the train station. Was greeted with a friendly smile and was courteous. Rooms very spacious and friendly, TV had bad reception but wasn't there long enough to watch any TV. Noisy on the front street side, no A/C, bad air circulation. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Enjoyed the stay and the staff was friendly, but don't get a room on the street.

The hotel is old, there are stains in all walls, in the carpet, the bed is worn out, the furniture is old and in general feels like being in a careless place where dirty just keeps accumulating. If you see the 'official pictures' all are presented blurred: so you cant see the dirt and the old furniture falling to pieces! I found that hilarious...

I first got a smokers room. Needless to say that I couldn't sleep there, the smell was very very strong. But furthermore, Im surprised that there's still smoker's rooms in hotels in Europe...

The neighbourhood is a bit shady as well. Im a person who generally feels safe, but I am also very aware of my surroundings. Its rare to see women in the streets and there are some sex shops and stripper clubs in the same street. Not a very reassuring feeling if traveling alone.

Room Tip: To avoid at all cost if you expect a clean, no smell place!

We stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed very easy access Munich HBF.The hotel was under renovation . The rooms are clean and the beds are large. You have to pay for the wi-fi .The staff is very helpful. The elevator is small and little inconvenient to use ,specially when you have big luggage. We had to make multiple trips to take our luggage to fourth floor.
The location is little scary but is harmless . Little noisy in the night , because of night clubs around
The hotel needs renovation

Room Tip: Fourth floor
