Location was about a 10 or 15 minute walk to the Marienplatz. Room was freezing cold when we first got in it. Took all night to get it heated to a comfortable level. The price was about right for what we got. Not a bargain at all. I would stay there again though.

The building was not originally built as a hotel. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the elevator which is very small. The rooms are clean and spacious but have a Spartan almost institutional feel to them. The bathroom is okay but the shower was small. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

I liked the neighborhood. Lots of small shops and restaurants and a coffee shop right next door. There is a u-bahn stop about a block away. You can walk to the Odeonsplatz in about 10 minutes so if you are traveling for the Octoberfest it is convenient. I also walked to the Deutsches Museum in about 20 minutes which is a nice stroll along the river. However, I was there on business so I would usually get back after 8pm. This is probably a Munich thing, but most everything is shutdown at that time except some upscale restaurants. So if you are there on business working late and would like to grab something quick to eat at fast food, the grocery store or bakery to take back to your room, you are basically SOL. For that, your best bet is staying nearer to the tourist areas or the Hauptbahnhof where things stay open late. To summarize, I would consider this hotel acceptable but recommend it only if you are on a budget and get a good deal.

This hotel has a great location, close to the undergroung Lehel. Not too far from the English Garden, Marienplatz and much more! The breakfast is to expensive. Better to go to some bakery and eat fresh sandwiches. The room was good. Very clean. Although this hotel is so close to many things, it is based in a place where there is not much traffic/people. Liebigstrasse is a expensive street so I am suprised that the hotel was so cheap. The personal didnt speak so much english, but they do their best!

We stayed at Hotel Adria for 4 nights, so it began to feel like home by the end. The location was great, in a quiet area 2 blocks away from an U-bahn station and around the corner from a tram stop (which goes directly to Schloss Nymphenburg, if you're headed that way). Good restaurants and a bakery were easily walkable, and it was close enough to walk to Marienplatz and the English garden, but far enough away from the Hauptbahnhof and the tourist areas that we felt safe and like Munich residents. Internet costs money, but they had a good deal for several nights of it, and it always worked well and fast. We enjoyed watching the women's World Cup on the nice flat-screen tv, we had two twin beds nicely spaced from each other, and had enough space to spread out so we didn't feel like we were living on top of each other for 4 nights (good when you're an adult traveling with your mother). Service was great, easy check-in and out. No AC, but Munich nights were cool and pleasant when we were there, and there was a fan included in the room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be exceptionally clean, comfortable and good value for money. Situated about 10 minutes (walk) from the English garden and 15 minutes from Marienplatz, but there is a U bahn station just around the corner.
The lift stopped between floors, so you either had to carry your bag up or down a few stairs. The room we had was compact but seemed to be newly refurbished. The beds were almost like 2 bunks at either side of the room. They were very comfortable, but anyone over 6 feet tall may find them a little short. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. These where both spotlessly clean and again seemed newly refurbished. The room was very hot- no air con- but helpfully (!) there was a fan in the wardrobe. We slept with the window wide open and remarkably there was very little traffic noise.
Breakfast was 14 euros each, but there was a wide choice of hot and cold good quality food. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke very good english (compared to our pigeon German). This was a good hotel for an overnight stay, but I think if you were staying longer you may find the rooms a little small. We booked through Easyjet, and got a good deal for a city centre hotel.

My sister, our children and I stayed at Hotel Adria in June 2011 for 4 nights. We were traveling with a 2 year old and a 7 year old. The staff at Hotel Adria went out of their way to help us with our children and our specific needs. And I must say, this hotel has the details of comfort down - the breakfast was substantial and excellent, there was juice available in the lobby for free all day, internet was free, the rooms were modern and clean and big enough, the furnishings were fun and the staff, as I mentioned, were more than helpful. It is a quiet hotel as well. You can't really go wrong here. Last time I was in Munich we stayed at the Bayrischer Hof which was extremely expensive and not ever close to as personal and fun.

We stayed here in a very small family room (one double bed, two singles with very little spare floor space) for two nights to go to the Christmas Markets. The location was excellent, with a short walk to the Englischer Garten, and a longer, very scenic walk via two Christmas markets to the main ones in MarienPlatz.

We got a new renovated room, which was very nicely done laid out, and made excellent use of the space. It was, however, pretty small, for four of us, and I wouldn't want to stay much longer than two nights.

If you are looking at a very slickly put together hotel in a nice part of town for a good price, this is worthwhile. The service isn't five star, and the rooms aren't, either, but they are clean, neat, and the service is helpful, posting us a package that we accidentally left behind on the window sill.

We didn't have breakfast, on the recommendation of others on this site, but there a several great breadshops nearby that do excellent croissants, and other bread products.
