“Great Location!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

We stayed for three nights in a quad room and a double room. The quad was two separate bedrooms behind an entry door. The kids loved their room and Mom and Dad loved having a room to themselves. They all shared the bathroom, but that was fine. Unfortunately, we ended up with twin beds on opposite sides of our double room and they couldn't be moved together. It was a busy time and they didn't have another double room with one bed, but it was clean, quite and an easy walk to the Hofbrauhaus and everything else we wanted to see. As others have noted on TripAdvisor, the elevator stops on a landing that's between the floors meaning you still get to drag your bags up/down steps so I don't know what they were thinking when they designed it this way, but there must be a reason. It's not a big deal, just annoying. The neighborhood is nice and we walked to and from there after dark with no concerns. We would definately stay there again.

Room Tip: The Quads with two separate rooms are great, but expensive. If you're traveling as a family you...

We stayed in Adria as a family of four in a quad room. There was one "double" bed and two single beds in a reasonably sized room on the ground floor with an ensuite bathroom. The room was cheerful, clean and had a TV, mini bar and bathroom. Breakfast was extra but included an ample buffet. There was free wifi as well.

Overall it was a clean and comfortable room. No frills but nice and well located near the English Garden and very walkable to all the major sights.

We really liked the location of Hotel Adria, could walk to English Gardens and to Old Town.
Rooms were quiet, clean but small. Reception was friendly and they let us borrow an umbrella.
We didn't try the restaurant.

Room Tip: Elevator stops between floors so we ended up taking the stairs most of the time.

I stayed here on a business trip in a single room. These rooms are smallish, have two single beds, a desk, tv and minibar. The street is fairly quiet at night and I slept comfortably with the window open. The location was the key driver for choosing to stay here, as I had to be in the neighbourhood. This is a nice part of town, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a good coffee place on the corner, should you find the EUR12 breakfast in the hotel overpriced (I did). The elevators stop at split-level, so there remain a few steps to take. No problem for me, but I guess if you are with large suitcases or a baby, this may be an annoyance. Other than that, nothing fancy, but acceptable.

Located in a small affluent area of Munich, a short walk from the sprawling greenery of the Englischer Garden in one direction and a quick stroll in the opposite direction to Odeonsplatz and Marienplatz.

The rooms were clean and a good size, and the bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly, and for the price and location I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Munich.

I like almost everything about this hotel. It was very conveniently located just 10 minute walk from Hofgarten, Maximillianstrasse and the City Centre, it wasn't far from the main train station either so I walked on my way back as the weather was beautiful and had plenty of time until my train, but you can also take a taxi to reach it faster. The room itself was very small (it was a single room only), but had everything you need: desk, chair, minibar, single but comfy bed and fully tiled bathroom with a spacious shower cubicle. Also the large flat screen tv had a big choice of channels which also included a variety of English language channels, French ones, Spanish and Italian. I also used the internet, which sometimes wasn't very fast, but generally it worked well and I didn't have to complain. The room and bathroom were very nicely cleaned and there was a cleaner coming everyday. The whole hotel actually was very tidy and pleasant. Everything was really nice and the staff was excellent. Also the hotel was very quiet and it felt safe even at night.

Sometimes the internet connection was quite slow, but generally it was good, even better than in many other hotels I used in the past. Secondly, the price for the full breakfast is ridiculous, but there are plenty of alternative places around, so it is easy to find a cafe or any other spot to eat out (much cheaper!). Thirdly, the bed in a single bedroom could be a little bit bigger. I'm 180cm tall and I wished I had had a slightly larger bed, so taller or heavier people can find it quite uncomfortable.

it is a 10 minute walk to the centre of town, easy flat street walk.
Clean hotel. Good rooms even basic level.
staff are very helpful, with walking, site advice.
One demerit - lift stops between floors (?!) So you have to walk ten steps up or down to your floor.
Porter is avilable.
