“Interesting and no tourists!”
Reviewed 27 January 2013

This museum is located between Stachus and Marienplatz. It's all about - you guessed it - hunting and fishing. Our kids enjoyed it because of the hundreds of "stuffed" animals on display. A very special treat for them: The Wolpertinger! See it for yourself, this mythical creature of the Bavarian woods.

“Go here when it starts raining - also good for kids and blind people”
Reviewed 25 January 2013

I Live in Munich

If you are in the pedestian area of Munich (=Fussgängerzone) and it starts raining - Go here for 1-3 hours. It is about 300 m from Marienplatz direction Karlsplatz on your right (about 100m from the Frauenkirche)

All animals are padded.
You will mainly see animals of the region, but also some exotic ones. Ever wondered what a Woiperdinger looks like? (Animal which only lives in Bavaria - google it :-) ) They have a few on Display.

They have a few animals children or blind may touch.

They also display some weapons of old times which one used to chase.

Not expensive

Also good for small children.

“I enjoyed the beautiful building housing the collection, more than the collection itself.”
Reviewed 28 June 2012

The collection was fairly limited. Really not much to see. But I loved the building's interior architecture.

“Awfull”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

Against some pretty stiff competition, this is the worst museum I've ever visited.

Once you've seen your 50'th old gun, your losing the will. Also, have the place is run down.
