“Need a lot of touch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

We visited this Palace, but didn't have to time to go in. Although it's quite big palace and garden, but the garden itself need to be replanted, with colorful flowers, especially during summer like now.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

This place was apparently a present to the Elector's wife after the birth of their first child - what a gift! The park is stunning, and entirely free to enter. One can spend a day, picnic, whatever and on a weekday morning when it's quiet, like being in another world. The palace itself is huge, with a lovely fountain, and gorgeous porcelain.

“Worth a visit in Munich”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

Not great, but worth some time especially if the weather is good so you can walk the gardens. Palace tour is so-so, but then I am not a big fan of palaces. The palace is certainly good to look at from the outside. The small museum at the side with the royal carriages and sleighs is nice. Can get crowded on a nice day. Use the bathroom and have a drink of water before the tour, they don't let you take water bottles on the tour.

“An Absolute Must See”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

This palace is probably the most beautiful sight in all of Munich.
Not only is it huge but also very impressive. Spend the money on the tickets, you won't be disappointed. Plus they allow you take pictures in there, so bring a camera with a lot of batterylife because aside from the great view on the gardens, fountains, the buildings themselves etc. you are gonna be amazed the old paintings, the rooms, the decorated and painted ceilings and all the details on everything that is in there.
Try not to go on a hot day though, as they keep the humidity in there pretty high.

“Excellent venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

Metro (streetcar) ride from Haupbahnhof. A long two-three block walk from the tram stop to the Palace - A pastry shop at the corner of the tram stop has delicious eats. (Backspiel haus). Carriage exhibit has many on display, but for me - seeing one or two would have been enough. Nicely maintained grounds.
