It was our last day in Munich and we went to English garden to relax and unwind before the long flight back to Asia.

We rented the paddle boat and went for a wonderful ride around the lake. It was very peaceful and my son enjoyed feeding the ducks.

There was also a nice kids playground which was beside the beer garden. The entire atmosphere was perfect. Kids were enjoying themselves and we get to relax with good food and beers. Totally awesome place to be. Highly recommended.

Its a very nice place to relax, beautiful and refreshing place to chat with your family, friends etc. Its a huge area walkable distance to nearest train station or bus stop.
Enjoy some beer in the bench near the cafeteria.
Even though we couldnt spend much time there, the available time was really refreshing

Awesome area in the city. Lots of locals relaxing, floating the river/canal, or even surfing. The Chinese tower biergarten is a must visit.

I came here twice during a long weekend with some friends on a birthday trip to Munich.
It was glorious weather so there's a slight rose tint on this review but the park is nonetheless amazing.
The beer and food gardens are great and not too pricey. Both times that we visited (Saturday and Sunday) there was a traditional German band playing which created an excellent atmosphere.
We decided to join the locals and have a dip in the river which was great fun; watch out for the current though.
We also had a good laugh at the many nude German men walking around...so beware if you're going as a family with little ones.
There are many different cultures, nationalities and variety despite the name English Garden and this adds to the overall positive and sunny vibe of the place.
I do hope I return in the near future.

This space is huge, and beutifully kept. Wide open spaces for playing drinking etc.

You can swim in the channels in the park, and people do everywhere, and you can go to the Chinese Tower to get a beer. Definite must see iin Munich.
