Lovely garden. You can meander in multiple directions. Lots of water. But watch the sky! We got soaked in a deluge. Luckily the Chinese beer garden let us in!

Rent a bike, bring a picnic (and a bathing suit). This is a great place to people watch, cruise around the many trails on a bike. On a nice evening you will find hundreds (perhaps thousands) of locals hanging in the park, swimming in the very cold creeks and rivers, sunbathing, sharing a beer (or several). There are several Beer Haus locations scattered throughout. My spouse and I absolutely loved spending time here

We are a family of four and went to the English Garden to escape the city. We had so much fun. We started our day by watching the surfers on the river (I highly recommend checking it out). Then we walked around and found our way to the Chinese Beer Garden. The food and of course the beer were amazing. There is live music and you could easily sit there all day. We next found a bike for my youngest son to rent (you download the app) and meandered through the garden to find a nice spot for swimming. My oldest son had a blast jumping into the current and riding it with all the other people. The water is freezing but certainly cools you off in a hot day.

This is a large central city park with lots of bike and walking paths streams and lakes plus several beer gardens. Very pleasant and a major draw for locals on days when the weather is pleasant. Unfortunately when we were there the weather was rainy so we weren't able to spend much time there or get any good photos.

We had a great time walking around the park. its a huge park and we only got about halfway through it. We brought some food and drinks for a picnic and it was really nice laying on the grass and watching people play games and hangout. We watched the surfing and my husband got a little jealous he couldn't join in (he surfs quite a bit at home). The beer park in the middle of the park was a fun stop and had a band playing while we had a few drinks. I am always excited for a beer garden that serves wine also ( I don't like beer)
