“Interesting statue”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

We walked down to here from the U bahn and spent 5 mins there.
The walking man is an alien so i have no idea why it is called a man!
It is very big and i took a few photos of it while we were there.
If you are in the area drop by.

“If you are around - look at it for 1 Minute and walk on. Don't go here just for the sculpture”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

I live in Munich and I pass this Statue once a month....

If you are on Leopoldstreet and pass this Statue by coincidence: Stop, have a look, maybe even take a picture and move on.

If you are on Leopoldstreet in summer, the Statue, although rather high and big, might easily be overseen, due to the tall trees along the road.

Besides being a "walking man" I personally think that there is nothing special about this sculpture. So it is not worth going into the area for this.

Not even Leopoldstreet is anything special. Another road in a city. If you are at the Siegestor, move towards the Feldherrnhalle. That is a lot more interesting and it will get you to many more attractions of Munich.

“A Symbol of Munich”
Reviewed 18 January 2013

This is just a statue outside the Munich RE building, but it has gained cult status in Munich. I guess I'm giving it an excellent rating because it gives me a nostalgic feeling about my city--a city full of art.

“An Awesome Sight”
Reviewed 11 March 2012

The Walking Man sculpture is absolutely breathtaking. It is HUGE. It is a little difficult to see from the road because of all the trees in front of it along the sidewalk. The taxi driver told me it is more difficult in summer to see because the trees are green. I can't tell you how amazing this sight is along Leopoldstrasse. It was erected 10 years ago and is by the american artist Jonathan Borofsky.
