We made reservations months in advance and requested the Honeymoon Suite for our 54th Wedding Anniversary and was pleased to get it. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The personnel are extremely friendly, genuinely so. They were always available to help with information and with whatever assistance was needed. The breakfast was excellent with many selections. The location was perfect for us with a park about 2oo meters away and a Beer Garden about 600 meters or so away. We plan on another trip to Munich this next year and will certainly stay there.

Excellent Small Family Bed and Breakfast Hotel. The Owner is committed to giving all his Guests an enjoyable stay and will help you with useful tips whenever you need them. The other reviews are spot on so I won't repeat all these comments except to say that you cannot beat a Family Hotel where the Owner pulls the strings to make sure his Guests have a nice stay. The down side - not much for the hotel itself except the lack of aircon but although the hotel is in a good residential district the choice of good eating places is limited - don't go to the Italian restaurant close by as the food is poor and the service is terrible. Better to eat in Munich and take the tram back to the hotel - the tram is a good 15 minutes walk away but does run every 5 or 10 minutes. But the trams are smelly and very warm in summer (no aircon) but are inexpensive.
I wish every hotel was as well run as the Laimer Hof which is a credit to its Owner. Value for Money is outstanding and the Owner even gave us a 20 Euro refund as he wanted to buy our 6 year old son a toy. That's a first and demonstrates what a nice guy Sebastian really is - this hotel will go from strength to strength as they always try to put the Customer first. When we stay in Munich again we will try to book the Laimer Hof but it is usually completely booked out! Thanks Sebastian for an enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the hotel in June. This was our first visit to Munich and the welcome we received by Sebastian and his team made it a memorable break from beginning to end. Jan was especially helpful in giving us advice on restaurants and in organising tickets for the tram/train and recommending sites to see and visit. The hotel is situated in a very peaceful and safe residential area within walking distance of several good restaurants and beer gardens. Breakfast was plentiful and varied in choice. The Nymphenberg Palace and gardens are a 5 minute stroll and are a must to visit. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would certainly return again.

As many others before have done, I read the reviews and booked a couple of nights at the Hotel Laimer Hof. Straight off the service is exceptionally friendly, the breakfast is as good as any other well run hotel in Munich and the locale is lovely. Be aware that the tram/bus interchange is not less than a twenty minute walk, don't use the Brassier or the Italian cafe across the road, neither are particularly good BUT the steak house on the main street is very, very good.

What's not to like? Twenty eight degrees and no air con is a real problem, our room had one window and the choice was open the window and get bitten by mosquitos or closed the window so that you can broil. Other rooms have more windows, so ask ahead if staying during the summer because Munich is getting hotter each year. We live in Munich in the 80's and the summers have been getting warmer - no kidding.

OK, will we return? Yes, but in the cooler months and spring in Munich is well worth a visit.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights with my family of 5. The room was comfortable and clean and in line with the cost. Breakfast was good and provided us with a good start to the day. Sebastian and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful which makes a big difference in my view. There are a few good restaurants nearby and also the Schloss Nymphenburg.

The hotel is conveniently located close to a S-bahn stop and the 3 day group ticket makes it an extremely cost effective way to travel around Munich.

We had a great time in Munich and would stay at the Hotel Laimer Hof again.

Treated very well from the moment you walk in the door. Got directions and walked two blocks to get on the tram. Free street parking in quiet residential neighborhood. The morning we left they were very helpfull with directions to the Neuschwanstein Castle.

Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They offered a great deal of help in logistics and sites to visit. The proximity to Nymphemburg was a plus...a very easy walk and an beautiful place to visit. It was an easy bus ride to downtown Munich. We wouldstay there again on a return visit!
