My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in September, 2013. Customer service and cleanliness were paramount to this lovely place in a beautiful residential neighborhood just outside of Munich. Staff were always friendly and willing to help you out in any way they could. Breakfast was your typical German fair - meats/cheeses.. We had a room on the third floor. The stairs would not a problem at all. Room was a generous size but could do with a little updating. Bathroom was completely renovated but is very small. (it could be that we North Americans are spoiled by space) .Transportation ie tram/bus super easy and within walking distance. We had a car during our visit. Never had a problem finding a place to park (most if not all parking is on the street. Hirschgarten is a MUST! Dinner at the Italian restaurant around the corner was amazing. Would I recommend this hotel! Absolutely!! Thank you for making our stay exactly what we were looking for.

The entire staff at Hotel Laimerhof was kind, open, down to earth, and just good people. They put us in the right direction, gave awesome tips for food, traditional clothing, and advice on how to maneuver amongst the masses of tourists. I will go back to Oktoberfest again and I will only stay at Hotel Laimerhof. Thanks!

We found the level of service and the location of this hotel to be excellent. Every employee and is through professional. This hotel sets a model and standard that should be upheld in every hotel.
The only thing the staff could not do was change the weather.

Special thanks to Sebastian and Jan.

Book early.

We spent four nights at this inn recently and loved it. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to be near family in the Nymphenburg area of Munich. Not only was this inn the closest to them, it was perfect in all other respects. Because of the limited number of rooms, the owners are able to give each guest superior customer service. From the minute that you check in to the time you check out, the staff makes sure your staff is perfect. The desk staff makes sure all your questions are answered and can help plan your sightseeing in Munich or the surrounding area. You can get your transit passes at the front desk for travel into the city (a quick 15 minute ride on the tram that you can get nearby).

The rooms are very nice, setup in the European style (split twins). We had one of the rooms on the top floor and found it to be very comfortable with plenty of space for couple or small family. The morning breakfast was quite satisfying with a wide variety of items (hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, cereal, danish, breads, tea, coffee, (and cappuccino!!!)). The inn is in a very quiet location nestled in a neighborhood of quaint houses and small apartments. The inn is within walking distance of several excellent restaurants and the very authentic and unique Wirtshaus Kurgarten (see my review for that one) and the ever popular Hirschgarten.

This inn is very convenient to seeing the sights at Nymphenburg Palace and surrounding area. If you want a quiet spot for exploring Munich and this area, I highly recommend this perfect spot to unwind and experience Bavarian hospitality at its best.

Room tip: Although there is no elevator, the staff is always available to help you with your gear!

We stayed in a family room for 4 people. The room was nicely decorated and equipped.
The hotel is in a lovely quiet residential street. The hotel itself is very quaint and charming.
Nearby is the wonderful Hirschgarten beer garden, which is only a 10mins. walk. The hotel staff are outstanding, and treat their guests like family. Wonderful atmosphere. The nightly rates are very reasonable. The only thing the hotel lacks is a lift, and airconditioning (but they do provide fans). The hotel is only 10min. by tram or car to the City. We loved our stay here.
This was the most enjoyable hotel we stayed in on our trip of Europe.
