This hotel is the German version of a 'listed building' and very interesting for that. The room we had was small but comfortable, and the bathroom well-appointed. The neighbourhood is very quiet, but there is a great restaurant and beer garden only a few minutes walk away. Nymphenburg Palace and park are also very close, and the botanical garden is fantastic. The Munich transport system is brilliant, so although the hotel is some way out, it is very easy to access the centre, and also the airport. The management and staff were delightful and very knowledgeable and the breakfast excellent. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: If stairs are a problem, ask for a ground floor room.

This hotel is a little gem!
We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 teenage children and had adjoining rooms. Sebastian was a wonderful host and he and his staff were full of local knowledge as well as how to get the most out of our time there. We drove from Switzerland and getting there was easy; also, the free parking was a bonus. Once there, we never used the car as public transport was easy to use and very close. One short tram ride and you're in the centre of the city. The hotel is in a truly beautiful area with restaurants nearby and of course the Nymphenburg Castle. The rooms we had were very clean and comfortable and felt welcoming. Breakfast at 10 euro each seemed good value to us as we had paid a lot more for less in other countries. If we had one complaint, it was that we had to leave! Accommodation through Europe with teenagers is not easy to find at such a comfortable and economical rate as it is at the Laimer Hof, Bravo!

We stayed at the Hotel Laimer Hof for 3 nights and found it to be an excellent base to explore Munich. It sits in a leafy and quiet part of Munich, close to interesting places to visit and with good access to public transport. There are also a number of good places to eat nearby. The rooms are comfortable and you can open the windows! The staff are very friendly and efficient and the breakfast is delicious.

Stayed here for a night on our Euro-road-trip last week. This was our first leg and we were to arrive very late. Sebastian was extremely accommodating and left our key in a lockbox outside with a code. There is parking in the area and it is very safe!

He made us coffee in the morning and gave suggestions on where to visit for our short stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was clean and big enough, bed was reasonably comfortable.

Great hotel - exceptionally friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, very clean and just a few minutes walk to public transportation system. And, of course, in the backyard of beautiful castle Nymphenburg! My second time to stay there and we will definitely be back!

Quietly located hotel in residential area, clean and well furnished. Rooms not huge but adequate. Fantastically helpful staff and very welcoming and friendly. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again. Close to tram access into centre of Munich.

If you're looking for a place that's close to one of the most beautiful palaces (Nyphenburg Palace) and close to one of the largest Beer Gardens in Germany, this is the place to stay! It's located in a beautiful residential area within walking distance to many sites. It's also close to public transportation if you're without a car. The hospitality of Sebastian, his wife, Alexandra, and the rest of the staff was very much appreciated. They were kind, sincere, accommodating and very knowledgeable about the city, transportation and sites to see. The hotel is nicely maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and welcoming. Because I have a bit of trouble walking, especially upstairs, I was dissappointed there was no elevator. However, because of that, Sebastian was kind enough to move my rooom to the first floor. The breakfast provided was very nice including the cappuccino! If I'm ever in Munich again, I will make sure to stay here again. I would highly recommend it.
