We stayed in Hotel Laimer Hof in late June and had a very pleasant stay. We would highly recommend.

We were 2 adults and 2 small children. We were in a large room at the top of the hotel. It was perfectly adequate for our needs.

The best thing about the hotel is the amazing welcome and general helpfulness of the owners and staff. The kids were looked after especially well!

The hotel is in a quiet and very nice neighbourhood, a short walk to restaurants, bars, the palace and to the tram stop to bring you to Munich centre.

It was 35C (very hot) when we were there and we had an early flight that morning. We couldn't have asked for a more suitable start to our holiday.

Had a nice cold beer outside on the street in the afternoon. Breakfast was good and well stocked.

A wonderful and quaint hotel! Before we even arrived for our 4-night stay, we received helpful advice from the staff recommending a specific tour and about riding the train from the airport. The staff, particularly our hosts Sebastian and Alexandra, were friendly and suggested places for eating and sightseeing. The room was clean and the breakfast substantial. The neighborhood was quiet with good bistros and close proximity to the Nymphenburg Palace. The largest beer garden and the tram to downtown were within easy walking distance.

We loved our stay here at Hotel Laimer Hof! The owner and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They helped us with our sightseeing and catching the right trains. We also loved the location - out of the hustle and bustle of Munich but so close to everything. We walked a couple of blocks to Nymphenburg and absolutely loved that! Great restaurants within walking distance and very short train rides to everything else we wanted to see. If you love quaint hotels with personal attention, this is the place. We would stay here again!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor.

As soon as you set foot in this hotel you feel at home. Owner and evening host went out of their way, helping you with your luggage, pointing out where to eat, etc. They would even take the time to sit and talk about your day. Can't say enough. Hotel was very nice. Clean. Nice rooms. Great breakfast area. Good location for seeing castle but a bit of a drive into central Munich. Poured rain our 2 days in Munich but we still left with a great feeling because of this hotel.

I live in Poland and met up in Munich with two of my friends from the States. We stayed at the Hotel Laimer Hof for 3 nights. It is located an easy walk from the Laim train station and from the tram stop. It is situated in a pleasant residential area.

The area has some lovely restaurants within a minute's walk from the hotel. We ate at the French and Italian restaurants nearby. Both were great. There is also an Aldi's market for groceries, between the Laim train station and the hotel.

The atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming and friendly. Jan at the front desk was great. As was the owner Sebastian. Both of them were extremely helpful. Even when I had to buzz the owners' apartment from outside, before 5 am, to ask him how to tell the taxi driver in German (as he spoke no english) where I needed to be taken, he was pleasant.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. But it looked very good-fresh and a variety of items. We were offered coffee, tea and capuccinos, at a reasonable price, while we were sitting in the lobby in the morning. We also noticed they served beer and wine on request in the evenings. So hospitable!

The rooms were attractive. They have the basics of what you need. Even a small refrigerator mini bar. I used it only when I had a sweet tooth late at night and helped myself to the M & Ms.:-)

I would definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Munich!
