Superhit Part
Location - Close to my business area. Easy to manage especially when it was snowing and was really very cold
Breakfast - Excellant breakfast spread. Quite tasty and interesting
Supermarket very closeby (50 meters), where you can buy what you want

Average Part
Expensive for a no frills hotel. Could have been 25% cheaper
Internet charges also quite expensive
Rooms pretty basic & minimalist

Floppart
Absolutely small room for the price that you pay. Single bed, space to walk 2 to 3 steps. thats it!
Bulky CRT TV in such a small room. Having a LCD would have reduced the strain on the eye and created more space
Poor choice of English language channels on TV
No toileteries at all..You need to carry everything from brush to comb
No Drinking Water. You need to pick up water from supermarket as the washbasin is not potable.
No gym - A business hotel must have a gym to help you feel better. No gym & snowing outside meant you were without exercices for days running, making you feel annoyed
Hardly any vegetarian food for Dinner. Suffer if you are a veg person.

The hotel is situated close to the north side of the English Garden and 3 km far from Olympic Park, so far enough from city center.
The room was clean and the bathroom too. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed with my wife two nights in this hotel. Room was a little noisy because of the traffic on the road passing in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was good, above average.

This hotel lies a little north of the main centre of Munich, hence is cheaper than those in the centre. Transport to the nearest underground station takes 10-15 minutes if, for example, using the Marienplatz station which is right in the centre of Munich.

If travelling via Lufthansa, there is an express bus that drops you off at Nordfriedhof just one stop away from Alte Heide (the nearest underground station to the hotel), and will pick you up there for the return to the airport. This is cheaper and faster than getting a train into town and then underground back out to the hotel

Alte Heide (on the U6 line), is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. You can also use the U5 line and get off at Milbertshofen - a 25 minute walk from the hotel. In both cases though, you can take a number 50 bus a few stops to the hotel, to save a little time.

The bedroom was fine, except that the single pillow issued was one of those that crushes to become wafer-thin, so we both asked for (and promptly received) an additional pillow. Room cleanliness was faultless.

The breakfast was not suited to those who look forward to a "Full English" - the teas provided are fruit, camomile, etc - and the food is Germanic; cold meats, white sausage (local delicacy apparently), lots of bread and fruits.
Those who eat more delicately will find a reasonable choice however, and there are two varieties of scrambled eggs, plus hot spicy sausage and burnt bacon for those needing something hot in the morning.

Minus Points:
* We had a room facing the front of the hotel and felt that, despite double glazing, the room was a little noisy (Bus route going in both directions outside).
* The hotel itself was rather warm, in the bedroom and especially the dining room.
* There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom, and the tv only has one English-language channel (CNN).
* The bar was a little small and the football on the tv in the evening left little room for conversation.
* Deposits were required for several things (e.g. locker keys, bathrobes, etc). Why? They know where I live!
* Nothing much for children to do.
* Lockers are available in the pool area (key at reception), but there only seemed to be a single changing room.

Plus points:
* Friendly staff.
* The reception staff all speak English and one member of staff spoke 4 different languages.
* The pool (depth 1.3-1.6m) in the celler was delightful. It can get a little crowded in the evening when families are likely to use it, but at 9-10am we had it to ourselves.
* There is also a solarium and steam room (at additional cost) and all facilities were beautifully clean and tidy.

In summary: A fairly-priced and clean hotel. Near to the underground, but some walking involved and not in the city centre. Front-facing room was noisy, and I'd ask for a room at the back next time. Not important to me, but little other than a pool to keep children/teenagers occupied. I would use again.

Top Tips if staying here;
1. Get a Munich Underground map.
2. Use the Lufthansa airport bus if you can.
3. Don't miss the Vapiano (pizza/pasta) and Rathaus (under the Town Hall) restaurants, both in the centre of town.
