“No no no”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

I am disapointed about this hotel for some reasons: there was no reviews about the fact that it is situated in a BAD AREA OF MUNICH. Having said that it is a GOOD LOCATION if you want to use the subway because the hotel is situated opposite the station. Another good point was that it was quiet until the last two nights where the housekeepers began cleaning rooms at 7am so it woke me up. When we arrived at the hotel, the woman tried to do an upsale by giving us a room in a higher level if we paid 10€ more per night where we specifically asked this when we booked the hotel. The woman shouldn't have done this because we asked this in advance. Also the WIFI IS TERRIBLE : you need to use a code every time you go over a certain amount of mb. So you'll need 5 codes per day which is annoying. As i said before the hotel is situated in the RED LIGHT DISTRICT which is dangerous at night especially for two girls like my sister and I. From 8pm it's not safe: you see prostitutes, junkies, drunks... There is also NO WHERE DECENT TO EAT in this area apart from kebabs and to top that up there is no restaurant in the hotel or only 5 dishes for room service but you need to add 5€ for service charge. I was deceived by this hotel because no where online it is written that it is in a bad area and for young girls it is an important point.

Dear guests from London,

I apologize that your stay did not met your expectations. Please let me give you some answers on the several issues.

Anywhere is communicated that the hotel is located directly at the main station and please believe me there is no reason to feel unsecure. As in many cities there is a red light district in the main station area but it is located on the opposite side of the station. Furthermore there are many nice or traditional Bavarian restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. Our front office tem would have likely recommended some.

Regarding the room floor please be informed that our rooms with view in general cost extra. This is not unusual for high floor hotels. And not only because a guests communicates the wish to have a high floor room we provide it for free. It is the guest´s choice if it is worth for him/her.

Within short term our Wi-Fi offer will change. There will be only one time log in and the bandwidth will be doubled. I am sorry that actual service, which is for free, did not met your expectations.

Dear guests from London, again I am very sorry that your were not satisfied with your stay in our hotel. We have lots of young guest and also lots of young girls / women staying in our hotel and I have never read or heard before that they have felt unsafe.

For any further matters please feel free to contact me directly.

By then kind regards from Munich

We stayed at this NH Hotel on a 3 day trip to Munich recently. The location is perfect, across the street from the main train station. As we were travelling with two small kids, I was worried about the potential noise (its on the main road). The windows must be really thick, because somehow we didnt hear a thing from the outside, it was very quiet.

The staff was very nice, and accomodated us by giving us 2 adjoining rooms and a toddler bed. The breakfast was amazing, I highly recommend the musili 'buffet,'there was also a bar/cafe in the lobby which had good snacks. Staff gave us directions to everywhere we wanted to go.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor, facing the side and it was very quiet.

There was no coffee in the room and no free coffee in the lobby. Other than that we thought that the service was very good.
The room was clean if a little small, and the location next to the train station and a casino could be a plus or a minus.

We had a quiet, comfortable superior room on the 14th floor. Friendly reception, superior location very close to the railway station. Very favorable price/performance ratio. It is a hotel that can be highly recommended .

Room Tip: Quiet room at top floors

I stayed in a triple room with my brother and his Girlfriend and we had an excellent stay. The Hotel is super central, directly at the main station.
The check in was done by Rayco who was very helpfull and open minded. The rooms was nice and clean.
My cocktail in the bar was perfectly done by Nicole who was very kind and friendly.
But also the best, accept the friendly staff at the reception and service, was the full breakfast buffet!
Regards

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are bigger and more comfortable

We spent only one night there as we were headed to Dominican Republic, but the hotel was the perfect choice, great location for quick sight seeing, the room had everything we needed, plus the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced. Would gladly use this hotel again.

We stayed at NH Muenche Deutscher Kaiser for 3 nights. As everyone says the location is excellent, right next to the HBF train station. There are also many tours that leave from a location right across the street from the hotel. The lobby is modern if not a bit Spartan. We had no trouble checking in as all of the desk clerks seemed to speak English, We got there very early and out room was not yet ready, but it was no problem to keep our bags in a secure location. After some sightseeing we decided to check and see if the room was ready yet because it was a hot day and we needed to cool off. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in about 3 hours early. We booked the standard room (cheapest) on hotels.com and were pleasantly surprised to be on the 14th floor with a nice view. The room was very hot when we came in so we cranked the AC as best we could and it was fine in a few hours. The standard room was small, even by European standards, but modern and nicely equipped. There was a mini bar in the fridge and a coffee maker with tea as well. The only other thing we really found to be a pain was the shower. It was very akwardly put together where the shower head is right over the drain. It is a shower wand so you can take it down, but only haf of the shower is enclosed so if you want to not stand on the drain then you will be getting the floor and sink soaking wet. There is a lot of construction going on outside of the hotel which is quite loud, but we were amazed to find that the windows were truly sound proof. All in all, we were quite happy with what we got for the price since we traveled all around Munich and went on tours, and were able to start them all steps from our hotel.
