Spent 3 nights at this hotel in November 2012. We were very impressed so much so that I can only think of one thing that could have improved the stay.

It is a very new, modern hotel and our room was large and comfortable with all the extras you'd expect in a 4* hotel. Flat screen TV, hairdryer, free safe, tea and coffee making facilities, an extensive range of toiletries and a mini bar. It's location is just a few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main station).

We booked through Travelzoo and so our deal included a free welcome drink - anything you wanted from the bar, and as many soft drinks as you wanted from the mini bar in the room, you only had to pay for alcohol. The drinks were replenished daily.

Very clean rooms and public areas and an excellent breakfast buffet in the dining room with hot and cold food offering something to suit everybody.

Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Although we didn't make use of the facility ourselves, there is a small gym and a sauna in the hotel which are available free of charge.

The one thing I would have liked was a drawer in the room to put my smalls in. That was the only negative. I would love to stay there again and would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Munich.

Overall a good hotel. Had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for one of our rooms, and only after asking 3/4 times did we finally get our keys. A little bit too hot in the corridors, but was able to control heat in room, just about. The breakfast was 18 euros, a little expensive, but you could have what you wanted from the buffet and as much as you wanted. There is no drawer space in the rooms and not enough hangers to accommodate two people. The toilet seat cover in our room hit you in the back every you sat on the toilet, most annoying, and the kettle lead was too short so we had to put the cups down to fill with the hot water. Our tea and coffee was only topped up once and we had no spoon to use. Distinct lack of English Channels on the TV, only news channels in English. Drinks at the bar were expensive, but you expect that everywhere. Lack of bar staff on hand, had to keep asking at reception for a drink. Beds really comfortable and extra pillows delivered within 20 minutes of asking. No iron or ironing board in the rooms. Free wifi for our stay but had to keep logging back on every few minutes.

Lovely and modern hotel in a good location. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and the room was extremely comfortable. The shower was amazing! Overall we had a lovely weekend in Munich and the hotel definitely added to that.

Mixed feelings overall. 1st the good impressions: modern hotel, quirky design (although after first night´s impression feels like a madhouse with overall obsession with sharp black/white), good bed which is very rare in Munich German style hotels of that price range. Pleasant staff at the hotel bar. 2nd the perks: the breakfast is mediocre and most of all the room is too small for the size which makes the morning experience very hectic and stressful. At the bar, they charge 14 Euros (!) for a glass of Wine (say 7 on the list but that´s for 0.1l which it doesn´t say). We stayed at the Kempinski the night before, which is a totally different league, and paid 10 Euro. The worst in the end: upon check out we were asked to pay the agreed 205 Euros. Fine. But then while already out of the hotel we realized there was 5.500 Czk on the credit card slip which is 15 percent higher exchange rate then everywhere else in the world (and I travel weekly). When enquiring at the hotel - no can do! In sum: modern but unfunctional extremely cold design, good beds, very rip off friendly. Just be careful. (oh and it´s really a Garni style, don´t expect much more then a room and front desk with small bar, despite cool photos)

Room Tip: The closest decent restaurant with good wine and food and charm is around the corner in the Fleming...

A very modern hotel. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and had sufficient facilities. Hotel had a gym and sauna facility on the lower level which looked excellent but we unfortunately never had chance to use it. Free WiFi throughout the hotel and free access to large touch screen computers which are handy if you are waiting around or have something to look up. The hotel is situated about a 3-4 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) which is very useful for getting around the city via the transport links. The Marienplatz (Main Square) is a further 10 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof and the underground system frequently provides trains between the 2 if you don't fancy walking. Would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from our stay in Munich and decided on this hotel having seen an offer on a website. The offer was for a reduced rate and free soft drinks from the mini bar and free breakfast. We booked 2 rooms (my partner and I & my parents) and couldnt wait for our trip.
When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice lady who provided us with information on local bars etc.
Our room was great, very modern with a superb shower. HOWEVER. We had no toilet tissue, which is no biggie and our parents room had no soap (again no biggie).
I had seen reviews on her about poor staff and decided that I wasnt going to be one of those fussy people who moan about silly things.
Our stay was for 3 nights. On our 3rd night, we arrived back at our room at about 4pm only to discover that both rooms hadnt been cleaned! We told reception about this and they just said "whats your room number", and that was it, so we sat in reception expecting someone from the hotel to come over and apologise to us and perhaps offer a free drink for the inconvenience but we got nothing, they didnt even tell us our rooms had been cleaned (30 minutes later)!!!
All throughout our stay, our glasses and tea cups were not changed or cleaned and bottles we had taken from the minibar which had been left by the bin, were still there.
Upon checkout the lady was very rude and just asked us to pay, she didnt even say thank you and have a nice day and pleasant trip home. I even said goodbye to them but no-one responded. Very poor again. Like Ive said, I dont like to moan about silly things and in fairness their breakfast was very nice. If you look at my other reviews I never complain over nothing!

Staff - buck up your Ideas !

Room Tip: good location for people arriving late from train station

Great new hotel in the center of Munich, near the main railway station. Hotel opened this year. Modern decoration based on the classics of world literature. New high-speed lifts. The modern interior and equipped rooms. Large fridge-bar, safe for laptop. High-speed wi-fi internet. Excellent and rich breakfast. The room is large beds with high mattresses. We lived in a room that overlooks the courtyard and soundproofed windows great. The staff is attentive and helpful.
Of only minor flaws. For example, the bathroom is separated from the living area only glass wall without a door. Therefore, if someone is taking a shower in the morning, the other person will not be able to sleep. Sound insulation between the bathroom and living space available.
Throughout the hotel there is not one for those who want the balance to weigh your luggage.
Among the TV programs are no programs in Russian (although this is a problem only for those who speak in Russian).
Other shortcomings in the hotel is not available. Everything is fine!
