The restaurant is around the corner from our hotel (Hotel Daniel, see separate review). We stopped in for night caps and dessert our first and second nights in Munich. We had dinner there our last night in Munich. Busy, buzzing and fun atmosphere. There is outside seating but it was too cool. Great menu (nice variety, good tasting, beautiful presentation), excellent drinks (check out the spritzers), yummy desserts and attentive (although young) waitstaff who were wanting to please. The experience was pure pleasure and sure beat those beastly brew houses handsdown.

Can get pretty loud as the place is often busy but they always satisfy, the great variety on the menu makes it easy to take a group, everybody can get what they want.

“Good Quality of Food, Excellent Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2013

We visited on our first night in Munich it was a Saturday night and all the restaurants in the area were busy. The staff did their best to accommodate us and although we were given a table which had many people coming and going past us, we were grateful. The restaurant is a busy lively modern place, which looks popular with young people. The service was first class, they got everything right for us and in a timely way. When the food arrived everything was perfect and tasted great. The staff were warm and friendly towards us and based on our good experience, we decided to eat there the following eveing. This time, the restaurant not so busy and they let us choose our own table which we picked in a quieter corner. Again delicious food, no complaints and the waitress who served us the night before came over to speak with us again. Hope we get the opportunity to visit Munich again, would definitely return.

“A long wait for average food and above average prices!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2013

We visited on a busy Sunday night (Dec 30th) and arrived here as, for an hour, we had visited every brauhaus in Munich and been presented with enormous queues. We chose this restaurant because it was behind our hotel (Hotel Daniel). We got what was practically the last seat and were given a menu quite quickly. However from that point on it became obvious that the staff were struggling. Either they were under staffed or didn't expect it to be so busy. However, although all seats were taken, you would expect them to be able to cope with the amount of tables they have. It took almost 20mins to order 2 beers and ask for English menus. The staff, when they served you were extremely polite and helpful however it was just painful to get their attention. At one point we sat for 40mins waiting to order a drink while one of the 4 members of staff went outside to lock tables and chairs up. The food was surprisingly un-German, burgers, quesadillas etc. Ours came quickly and was filling however at about €10 per dish was a littel pricier than other places. Beers too were about 10% more than in the more touristy brauhaus. We had an odd experience here though not solely confined to here in that were asked to settle up the first part of our bill and open up a new one as the waitress was finishing soon.
If you are in the area it is OK so long as it isn't busy but don't rush here!
