The overly flamboyant reception area complete with colourful Garden of Eden murals (with naked guys) was eccentric, but the hotel itself was a bust; our room was in a seperate building, accessed by an open door, through a building site then up the lift. It felt dark and unsafe. The corridors were scuffed and dirty, with cheap flooring. Interestingly the room was the same - torn linen, rough skirting boards and no bathroom ventilation. But they've clearly spent a bit on fixtures, like nice lighting and a big TV.

For the money it's not worth it, and for the rsting, its most definitely not a 4-star. Better off staying at the Angelo across the road.

The hotel is under refurbishment. Though I get a good price for the hotel, I don't recommend anyone staying in the hotel until the work is finished. There is also road work outside the hotel which starts 7am. We do not receive any information before about the work. I don't think the hotel should be opened for business while doing significant refurbished work. The hotel is full of dirt from the work both inside and outside the hotel.

However, the room will look nice after all those work. And the location is a stone throw away from U6,S7,S27 station.

Location is Ok in that public transport is readily available. Surrounding area is not particularly inspiring including restaurants within walking distance.
As it was Ockoberfest time other hotels were booked. Bedding was clean but not so comfortable. I was not impressed by breakfast or the room but pricewise it was an average hotel.

Room Tip: Front rooms were noisy if you needed to have window open

Me and two friends stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending oktoberfest. The location wasnt too bad, only 20 minutes walk from the festival. Hotel is clean with friendly staff. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel so cant comment on that. What lets this hotel down is how uncomfy the beds are.Even after a full day of drinking you still cant sleep on them.I have had a bad back since the 1st night we stayed. Also the rooms get so hot and havent air con.We tried opening the window but we looked out over the main road where they were doing roadworks from 7am everyday.Overall nice hotel an would stay again if the beds and heat in the rooms was addressed.

Stayed here for 4 nights with 2 friends to go to Oktoberfest - was great location only about 10 mins walk to the Fest and there's also a train station just down the street to go to the rest of Munich. The downside - possibly the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, we considered sleeping on the floor it was that bad. Next time I will definitely look for another hotel in the area. Breakfast was quite good

My partner and I have recently travelled with COSMOS who had booked the tour into this hotel for one night. The hotel was basic and we were unable to cool the room even though it had an air conditioner. The pillows were flat and a second one just didn't cut it either. The only plus was it had a walk in shower without having to climb into a bathtub first. Because we arrived late we were unable to find any suitable eating places close by so we opted for a basic Italian style pizzeria across the road. We would not recommend this hotel to any one so I would suggest COSMOS re-think their choices of hotels in this city.

It was our first trip to Munich and we were very pleased with staying in Rivoli, even surprised with the quality of services, room and food we received
Room: + very clean, modern, TV (but only German channels), furniture is very nice, desk, comfortable bed. There is everything what you'll need, even small refrigerator with beverages, soap and napkins in the bathroom
- no air conditioner, there is a window in the shower with blinds,so people can see you who stay with you in the room.
Location: super, just 2 minutes to the metro, 4-5 stops to the center of the city.
Breakfast: fantastic, they even had different types of nuts and Philadelphia cheese, which I'd seen first time. They served fried and boiled eggs, sausages, fruits, cakes, yogurts, ham, cheese, very delicious different juices, croissants and bread.
Service: ok
Parking: yes for 5 Euro per day
I'd suggest this hotel, it's really great value of money. We had such a wonderful room at the roof with terrace.

Room Tip: 606 for 3 people with the terrace. the room consists of 2 bedrooms
