Stayed 3 nights at this hotel on a business trip that took place in May 2012.
Hotel is very modern and comfortable although it is located in a business area which means there is nothing to do at a walkable distance. Hotel is located 4,5 km North of the city center and 1,5 km West of Englisher Garden (at more or less half of it’s length) and 500 m from the Nordfriedhof subway station (U6 – blue subway line). From this subway station it is 6 stations away from Marienplatz (city center). To get around we used subway during the day and taxi at night.
On the top floor of the hotel there is a small gym with a couple of exercising machines and a sauna.
Breakfast at hotel was pretty good with the normal food you can find at this type of hotels: fruits, milk, variety of breads, ham, cheese, cereals. I especially enjoyed the fact you can make your own freshly squeezed orange juice and that they have espresso coffee (ask for double). Service is pretty friendly.
Room is modern. One of the walls is a window facing outside (i was facing North), which means you have to close the shutters while getting dressed or you could be seen from outside by everybody driving along the freeway. Bed only has a blanket that is used as bed sheet + blanket (modern stuff !). Room has a flat screen TV with mainly German channels and a couple of others, for example: TVE, BBC, CNN. Mini bar is free but only has 2 bottles of water + 2 soda drink’s.
Bathroom is openly connected to the bed room which means you can basically take a shower and look outside through the room window.
Since we were travelling within a group of 9 people Michael from the front desk was great with his dinner suggestions (excellent choices) and helped us by calling and reserving for the group and arranging for our transportation. Other staff was also very friendly.
Also check reception for special subway ticket prices. You could get special tickets here.

Room Tip: High floor if you like the views

This hotel is well located, not too far from the airport, and not completely into Munich city - directly on the Schwabing exit of the A9 - excellent to avoid heavy traffic!
The decoration of the rooms is very simple but modern and highly practical. Large windows, wide bathroom (at least in the Lifestyle suite!) and plenty of spaces to store clothes, luggage, etc... without invading the living/sleeping area.
Only weird thing is the breakfast room turned into a lounge bar in the evening. The drink menu is is excellent, but it is indeed strange to sip a cocktail while facing the toaster!

On balance this is a functional but good hotel. Bright in the rooms, well positioned but the beds could have been a bit more comfortable. Lack of wifi wasn't ideal but LAN connection worked well. Breakfast and dinner were good and the design is also nice.

If you are going to visit one of the many offices in this part of Munich then this is a great hotel. The rooms are minimalist with integrated bathrooms, and despite being beside a busy road they are quiet.

Other than the offices there isn't a great deal very close to the hotel, so if you are in tourist mode you'd probably be better staying downtown. Having said that, it's only a few minutes walk to the tram or the U-bahn, and the northern edge of the English Gardens is just a mile away.

As is often the case, the restaurant tries a little too hard, and doesn't quite pull it off. It's not bad, but neither is it great. The breakfast, on the other hand, is very good.

One thing: don't expect much from the "fitness room" - go running instead.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times now as my Munich office is literally just around the corner. The rooms are perfectly alright with a good, modern bathroom - the type that is almost in your actual bedroom - a decent size bed and floor to ceiling windows. They all have a decent flat screen TV with a number of cable channels - think BBC world, CNBC, France 24 etc. The issue is that they only give you one pillow and a single duvet; especially annoying when it's almost impossible to change the temperature of the air con.
If you get a room on the side of the main road be prepared for traffic noise early and late - these are the even number rooms.
The breakfast is extremely good with the typical hotel buffet favorites with a couple of Bavarian specialties - sausages, hams, pretzels and pancakes. The actual restaurant is quite expensive and a bit style over substance. I had a cod dish which was meant to come with a "beetroot and horseradish foam" which was more like a pink smear on my pasta.
The bar is good for an after work drink although at 9 euros a glass of red it is a bit steep (even with the current strength of the pound).
As my company gets a substantial discount it never seems that expensive - although it's twice the price of the novotel 1 minute away that I actually like! Having said that I did see one of my clients checking out one morning and she'd paid 200 euros for a night which considering the price of hotels in Munich is very expensive!
Another issue with this hotel is that it's very much a business hotel but it doesn't include wi-fi. I do not consider providing guests with a LAN cable as they check in good enough.

Room Tip: The odd numbered rooms are not facing the very noisy road!

I stayed for 2 nights whilst on business. Innside is a very modern, trendy hotel in the suburbs and on the whole the design is easy on the eye BUT totally impractical.
I had booked a Premium Room and was informed that I was "lucky" enough to be upgraded to a large corner room with floor to ceiling glass walls on two sides. The room had minimal furniture, a bed, one easy chair, one coffee table, one wardrobe and a desk area with one chair. Their website says the only room above a Premium Room is a Suite, this wasn't a suite in any way shape or form!
The problems
2 glass walls with industrial style venetian blinds and net curtains meant that once the sun came up the room was filled with daylight so if you like a dark room to sleep in this is not for you.
The airconditioning was totally inadequate for the room so even with temperatures of 28C it was not comfortable. I noticed when I had breakfast that all the corner rooms had their windows open so I assume they were all suffering. Opening the window is no hardship apart from the fact my room was above the bar and outdoor eating/smoking area so was too noisy.
The chair at the desk was not a work chair, more like a dining table chair. When I sat on it, it felt like it was going to collapse!
The shower, nice overhead rainfall shower but the door opened into the shower with the controls behind the door. So the only way to switch the shower on was to get in and get a soaking with ice cold water. Also to stop the door hitting the controls was a door stopper placed at my head height. So when I bent forward to wash the shampoo out of my hair I nearly pocked my eye out.
The wifi internet was €6 a day, not problem, but the launch page of T-Mobile said €5 an hour. So the first two hours of a business trip were spend trying to sort out the wifi, succeeded, and the air conditioning, failed.
On the plus side, the breakfast was good and the staff in the bar and restaurant very friendly. Until the last morning that is where they had already set up the terrace for lunch and would not allow the guests to eat their breakfast outside! Crazy. The final insult, when checking out I was asked if I had enjoyed my stay, I said I hadn't and explained the reasons, the girl just shrugged her shoulders.
The bill for two nights inc breakfast and dinner for one on the first night was €800!

Hotel is a very classy, cozy and minimal style luxurious. Hotel rooms are very comfortable and the glass walls – windows are amazing. It gives you a feeling of freedom and in the same time you are not exposed due to the electrical blinds and the tinted glass. TV has the most channels (even cable) I ever had in a hotel. There is also a Desk where you can work if you are in a business trip and the minibar is complimentary with the room. Yes no charge. Which I found extremely clever. (I have been in 5 star resorts being in a villa and had to pay for my first drink.) It’s not about the money paying for the soda but the gesture for the welcome drink. Bath is also nice especially with the rain-shower. In general room and hotel is extreme clean.
Breakfast buffet is huge with many varieties of eggs, sausages, juices, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, cereals… you name it. Even newspaper in many languages.
Gym – SPA is very simple with a 6 seated sauna and steambath. Nothing exciting but who cares when the rest of the hotel is so good.
Parking is easy in the basement even in the streets nearby. Hotel location is very convenient since English Garden and Olympiapark are ~ 2 km near. Underground Tube is 500 m. near also. And city center is also a few stations by train.
In general the hotel is an excellent hotel and you get surely more for what you will pay. Standards are very high, people is very friendly and helpful, location is convenient, transportation is easy, even the taxis station is outside the hotel with at least 3 taxis waiting day and night. Recommended for family city vacation or business trip. You will be pleased with your stay.

Room Tip: ask to get a room in one of the corners of the wing.
