Tiny Room

We recently stayed at the Ibis Parkstadt Schwabing Hotel in Munich for 2 nights as part of a Cosmos Tour of Germany. This hotel was very poor and should not be used for tour members. Upon arrival the hotel looks very nice, however the room was tiny, the TV was very small, no suitcase rack, no place to put suitcases, one wooden chair which looked like it was for a student, no tissues, one towel per person in the tiny bathroom which you had to step up to get into, more like what you get on a cruise ship. The hotel has no porters so you can carry your own suitcases. The dinner was a set dinner for the tour group so no choice, no coffee offered. The location of the hotel is in a nice area but there is nothing within walking distance other than business offices and residences.

Terrible stay

For the price I paid. I expected at least a decent night's sleep and a tranquil stay. The bedroom wasn't clean and there was no soap in the shower. The air con didn't work and instead of changing my room, the staff just opened the bedroom window (letting in the hot air from outside). A very condescending response from the staff. I had a terrible stay and more importantly sleep. Extremely let down.

Sorry also to also learn that our service was less than satisfactory. Really, really good hotel.

Stayed in Ibis hotel all over Europe. I have no complaints at all.
This hotel is nice and basic. It has got everything you need in the room.
Staff is always nice and polite. They always there to help you as best they can.
Bar as always nice, got all kind of drinks you pretty need.
Breakfast was really good, plenty of food to start my day.
I am always happy when it comes to stay in Ibis.
Good job.

If you like Ibis, you'll like this

With the IBIS brand you generally know what you're going to get and this is no exception. No frills but clean. Reasonable bar and nice reception area. The thing that did stick out was that the staff were all very friendly which made for a nice business stay. Not much in the direct area to do but only a short ride to restaurants etc. Would use again.

Good inexpensive hotel

This is a standard Ibis product. The facilities are minimalist but clean and good value. The staff are helpful. The rooms are small with a capsule bathroom not unlike a cruise ship . We have used Ibis hotels elsewhere and find they all maintain a good standard for a bargain price. This hotel is somewhat isolated but there is a tram linked underground connection to the city centre for which the staff will provide information and a map. There is a small supermarket and Vietnamese cafe about 15 minutes walk away.
