A great hotel located in a quiet part of Munich yet the centre is easily accessible by the U-Bahn nearby. The hotel itself is a great idea having suites which are ideal for families complete with a separate toilet and bathroom, microwave, fridge and a small sink area. The huge bed is screened off from where the kids pull out beds are so the adults can watch TV without disturbing the kids too much if they don't want to go downstairs to the (reasonably priced) bar area. The rooms have proper black out blinds in all the windows and there was ample storage space and power sockets - something that kept everyone's gadgets topped up and the kids happy. The staff were most helpful and assisted when our hire car was damaged overnight by another car. The parking is free offsite on the side roads in what is a mixed office and residential area. There didn't seem to be any restrictions on this but it can be a bit tight, hence the bumper scrape we received! All in all I would recommend the hotel to any family looking for somewhere cheap to stay and use as a base to explore the area.

I chose this hotel because of price, location and room size. The room was a very good size for a family of 4. It had a shower on one side and another little area with a mirror on the other side which made getting ready in the morning much easier. We chose this location because it was 30 minutes from everything we wanted to do (Marienplatz, Dachau, Friesing, Erding, airport). The only negative about this location is that there is nothing in close proximity without having to drive. When we got in the first night, we didn't feel like getting back in car so we ate at the sister hotel ibis right next door. Surprisingly this place had one of the best burgers I have ever had (whole family agreed) and they had a couple of good beers on tap. One morning we decided we wanted to go on a bike ride to the English Garden. We rented the bikes from ibis which was very convenient. Ride to English Garden from hotel not that far. Beautiful park.

Note: Description says laundry service. I needed this because we needed laundry done on this extended trip. Prices not for family size load, more for business people with an item or 2. Charged by the item. Ended up driving to laundromat instead.

Overall a positive experience. The rooms are clean, quiet and larger by European standards. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs.
This hotel is located 15-20 minutes from the city center via a short walk to Tram 23 then the U6 to Marienplatz. While there is a few stores (grocery, drug store and bakery) a couple blocks away, the area is mostly residential and offices.
The one negative was the wifi. We constantly had to walk into the halway to reconnect.

Suite Novatel served our purposes perfectly. Our family of 5 (3 teens) was looking for a hotel near the BMW museum for our last night in Munich before heading to the airport. We arrived by train from Salzburg. From the train station it was an easy metro ride - however the walk from the metro station to the hotel with luggage was more difficult than we anticipated being ~ 0.6-0.7 miles. In hindsight we would have been better getting a cab. We had 2 double rooms, one with an extra bed for our 13 yo daughter - there was plenty of space as the rooms are quite large by European standards. There is very little to do by the hotel, including very few restaurants, so we ate at the hotel's restaurant, which was serviceable. Beds were quite comfortable, and the room was very quiet. Wifi - the most important aspect of any hotel in our teenager's eyes, was very fast. Breakfast was a nice selection of breads/pastries, hot food, fruit, and coffees/beverages. It was a very short cab ride to BMW. The hotel was kind enough to store our luggage during our BMW visit, and after BMW we grabbed the luggage on our way to the airport. Overall a very nice hotel - would definitely recommend but be aware there is very little to do around the hotel in this area and it is a bit of a trip (walk to metro, metro ride) to city center.

While on vacation, we use hotel for bed and breakfast. So we prefer the typical Novotel no frills experience. There aren't many places that comfortably accommodate 4 in a room. But novotel suites provide the option. It gives the essential Novotel experience in efficiency, cleanliness, etc.

This particular hotel is not conveniently located. nearest metro 2 km away and nearest tram about half km away. Nobody seemed to know about it. Euro 55 ride to airport because metro ride will take over an hour and is complicated. Breakfast is very low on variety. One of the rare time when hotel selection went wrong. May be they are catering to a different customer type.

But Munich is not a large city and walking to the tram station for sight seeing is not a problem.the tram takes you to Leopold Street. It's a lovely area to stroll thru. Very vibrant. many food options. there you get connected to the metro and then all very convenient.

Room Tip: Strange architecture. Rooms open on a atrium and give views of each other. Avoid rooms opening on th...
