Before you read on--you can find some deals when booking a Suitehotel room. If you book online on the hotel's site, you can get a lower rate--however it will be binding--no cancellation allowed.

Four of us--two parents and two children (one full bed and two twins)--stayed at this hotel for 69 euro. That's about as low as you'll find in Munich for four people. Granted, this is the price without breakfast, which is 13 euro for adults, half price for kids, and free for very small children. But all the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves, so you may not want the breakfast anyway and prefer to save your money. Thirteen euro around 17 dollars, after all. And you'll find some very basic pastry, coffee and tea downstairs every morning, so you could really raid a local bakery or supermarket and put out a very cheap decent spread for yourself in your room.

The good: Very clean. Very modern (Wii controllers available at the desk for use in the fitness room). Also, there is an underground parking garage. I was told on the phone that it would be 8 euro for 24 hours. But when we were there, we just pressed the call button and the hotel staff electronically opened the gate for us. And free Internet access in your room. Our room also had a bath AND shower--a plus if you have small children, like mine, who are shower-shy.

The bad(ish): Small rooms. Odd rooms. In order to cram all that stuff, pretty efficiently, I might add, into a small room, the management had to have the parts of the bathroom specially manufactured. So your separate toilet room will have a very small sink, sort of like in an RV. The shower/bathroom will also have prefabbed parts, again giving you the feeling that you're in an RV. The breakfast keeps pace with the small, modern theme. The items appeared to be of very high quality--baby mozzarella in a tomato confit, chorizo sausage with pepper slices, brie with pumpernickel, etc.--and you can eat as much as you want, but it's all prepackaged and arranged on refrigerated shelves in the breakfast nook. Different. Not necessarily bad. But definitely different. "Innovative," the desk clerk called it. ***Also, if you are bound to the use of public transportation and are with children, this may not be the hotel for you. The nearest subway station is a 10-minute walk.***

Bottom line: "Innovative" is a good way to describe the hotel. There are some unexpected features. But if you sum up what you get for the price, and if you don't mind being a 10-minute from the U-Bahn, this hotel is a very good value.

Stayed here for one night after arriving in Munich on transatlantic trip. Check-in staff was very gracious and spoke fluent english. Helped me with figuring out the parking, food, etc. Room was fine--needs a bit of updating, but spacious. Nice new TVs. Ate at the adjacent restaurant and had a very nice dinner. Location is out of the way to any major munich sites, but a good place to rest and good value. Liked the free internet in the lobby and room.

My family and I stayed at the Suitehotel Munich for one night and we really enjoyed it.
We were in Munich to follow our football team in the Champions League match versus Bayern Munich. The hotel is situated perfectly at only 4 km from the Allianz Arena and it is on the same Underground Line (U6 if I remember correctly).
The distance from the hotel to the U6 station is about 10 mins walk, and you can be in central within minutes.
The rooms were spacious and modern, all with a fridge (which is empty so you can put your own stuff in), a microwave and a kettle to make tea or coffee.
All rooms have a tv with satellite channels, both free and pay-per-view. Also fitted in verey room there is a internet connection point, with RJ45 cable included (although very short cable).
The toilet is separated from the bathroom, where you have a choice between shower and bath.
The hotel was clean and the staff was nice and easy-going.
This stay served our purpose perfectly and I would definitely stay there again, even if I was not going to the Allianz Arena.
Breakfast is a bit expensive imo, but I didn't take it so I only had an expresso (at least you have the choice).

I didn't give 5 stars cause our Team lost 3-0 to Bayern, otherwise it would have been the perfect stay (just kidding)

Much recommended!!

Very good new hotel, with spacious clean rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Room has a friedge, microwave and tea facilities. Parking is 8 euro per night. In the area around a lot of construction going on, so not much to see. Hotel is about 15 min from center by car or 10 min from metro station by foot.

The rooms,as advertised, are very large. The hotel is also very new,and therefore in excellent shape.Breakfast is good, and the staff is very helpful,{even providing umbrellas in rainy weather}.The only problem for me was the location.Lots of construction. You CAN get to the subway, but it's a bit of a hike.It would probably be OK for business travel, but not as a school group.Overall,if location is not important,it is excellent.
