Room pretty run down in a reasonable colourful part of town (near railway). .... Sex, gambling, Turkish food and guns all within a couple of minutes walk.

Average breakfast included.

Pluses... Short walk to nice party of city... So or the price what our be expected really.
Minus... No air con, no wifi, noisy at night until morning.

Room Tip: Avoid the hotel t get a god room

Hotel Daheim was perched on the corner of two busy streets and the noise persisted until 3am. We daren't close the windows as it was 30C and very hot. Our bed was comfortable, minimally furnished but plenty of room. The ensuite left much to be desired.........mouldy tiles and a toilet that didn't flush. Hint: use the shower hose to flush the toilet!! The lift was much appreciated and the crowded breakfast room was efficient and a good supply and variety of food.

Room Tip: Remember to use the shower hose to flush the toilet.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in July. The location is great, very close to the train station and a ten minute walk to the centre of Munich. As mentioned in previous reviews, the area around the hotel has a number of lap dancing bars etc, but this makes it a busy area at night, which I prefer when travelling alone. The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and the hotel room was perfectly adequate. I would recommend this hotel for a short, budget break in Munich.

I stayed in this hotel for six nights. This hotel is very close to Munich Central (Hauptbahnhof) station. It is just five minutes’ walk from Munich Central station and can be easily reached. Tourist Information office is nearby of this hotel. There are plenty of hotels in and around Munich Central Station and it is one of them. It is four storied hotel. This hotel looks like old type of building and room keys are backdated. It is obsolete in now-a-days. Main station is connected with long distance trains, S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains. So a traveler can catch train and go anywhere from here. Major attractions of Munich like Marienplatz, Karlsplatz etc. are walking distance from this place. Breakfast is complimentary and included in the price.

Breakfast time is from 0700 hrs to 1000 hrs. Breakfast hall is neat and clean but very small compared to number of occupants. Tables are too small to have breakfast with four or two persons each. Breakfast is relatively good. Fruit items are more in buffet breakfast and there are varieties of items. It is better to have breakfast early to avoid crowd/rush in small breakfast hall. This is enough to fill your stomach in the morning.

This hotel is right in the middle of good nightlife area of Munich. There are lots of Table dance bars, night clubs, ladies strip clubs in and around this hotel. There are three to four sex shops around this hotel. This is very lively area of this crowded German city so far as the good nightlife area is concerned. There are plenty of restaurants, beer bars, Arabian food restaurant, and Chinese food restaurant in the vicinity of this hotel. Those people who want to enjoy good nightlife area may stay in this hotel. Others who want calm and quiet area may avoid staying in this area of central station.

I stayed in this hotel in single room. Bed is not so good. They change bed sheet every alternate day. Room and bathroom are moderately clean. The rooms are old fashion and not with modern outlook. The room has TV, telephone, cupboard, table, chair etc. There is enough space to keep your luggages. They provide towels, soap, and shampoo for the bathroom. There is no fan and air condition in this hotel. Particularly in summer the room is very hot. Road side rooms may be avoided as there are lots of noises which can cause disturbance in your sleep in the night. This hotel has 24 hours reception desk. One Euro shop is very close to this hotel. Anything you buy from here, its value is one Euro. This hotel accepts credit card or cash. This hotel has elevator for going upstairs.

I do recommend staying in this hotel area, even if you do not like good nightlife area. Only advantage is that this hotel is very close to Munich central station and majority of places of interest are close-by. The location is excellent.

Room Tip: Road side rooms are to be avoided for better sleep in the night. Top floors are good enough to stay.

This is a nice hotel in a central location. It is in walking distance to the Fussgaenger Zone, the English Garden and the Glockenspiel. The room had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. There are night bars in the neighborhood, and noisy at night. All in all, I would stay there again.

We spent 4 nights at the Daheim from May 1st to May 5th. The best thing about it is the location, of course, very close to the Central Station and the Karlsplatz underground station, within walking distance of Marienplatz. The room itself was very basic - three beds, a wardrobe, small bathroom. The furniture was basic too, but it was all very clean, all the walls were freshly painted. The building is old, but they are doing their best to keep it clean. The beds were quite comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Other contributors complained about the noise, but our room /8 on the 1st floor/ was quiet and we didn't hear any noises from the street. The room was cleaned every day and the towels were also changed every day. The water in the shower was warm, could even get hot. The staff were very polite. Breakfast was OK, although the same every morning, but all in all there was everything we needed. The breakfast room can get crowded around 9 a.m.
