“If only it were ensuite”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

All the compliments that Jan receives are well deserved. He is indeed very friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home and gave us all the information we needed for visiting Munich including change for the bus. He also pointed us in the direction of an excellent restaurant, a 10 minute walk away where we enjoyed a first class meal in a non touristy environment. The excellent breakfast was so extensive it would have fed another 20 people after we left the table. we had teh balcony room at 85 euros and it quite clearly says on their website that the two bathrooms are shared with other guests, but it was only when both were engaged that we wished we had stayed in a place with ensuite facilities.

The hosts are warm and friendly. Beds and rooms were comfy and spacious. Internet was super-fast. The morning breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and strongly recommend it to other travellers. It is also a great way to meet other travellers. At breakfast we were sitting with a German-Kazikstan family and a Taiwanese traveller. The hosts are multilingual and social. Excellent value for money. Also a great Indian restaurant within easy walking distance.

Room Tip: All the rooms were lovely, but the attic room is HUGE

Don't expect to meet muslim woman ln yashmak. Fatima is from Brazil. That's a real place you feel yourself comfortable. Breakfast is quite big and nice. Trere are two gardens around. The only thing is a distance to center but price sounds acceptable cause of that.

With the instructions from Jan, it was extremely easy to find the place, and with the cheap cost of public transportation in Munich, it was very easy to get to the city. Jan and Fatima are very nice and helpful. The area is very cosy and we felt right at home. The room was very nice and we were greeted with candy and drinks. Breakfast was amazing. They set out a huge selection of food to choose from! We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Munich.

Jan is the consummate host. We stayed in the balcony room. As other's say, it's homey and our room was delicious and perfect. It is outside of the city center but refreshing for being so...and the bird calls were amazing. Jan also recommended a "neighborhood restaurant" and it was the the best meal we had in Europe. And Jan's breakfasts...I loved the candles...it gave elegance to the incredible spread of food. Jan is, the best. He's one, friendly, two, quite cute, and three, willing to explain how to get anywhere which was so helpful. The metro is close by. Fatima had her own family folks in so was busy doing the "tour thing" with them so we only saw her in passing. But, if you want a lovely comfortable "home" type place to stay in Munich, you'll find it here.

Room Tip: Ask for the balcony room.

We stayed here for two nights.
Jan was a wonderful host, he sat down with us at breakfast and gave us recommendations for the city. Breakfast every morning was really great with fresh fruit and pastries.
We had the large room on the second floor, it was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable.
Sharing a bathroom wasnt much of a problem. The shared bathroom was large and stocked with toiletries.
The bus runs from the metro station every 20 minutes and drops you right in front of the B&B.

We had a great stay and I would recommend it.
