We went for the full menu. The Chef was very inspired and surprised us in a positive way. Food was brillant and each course came with a different glass of wine. Wine was from Germany, France and Spain - top quality each time. A great place to have a fantastic dinner !

i had high expectations, after all this is deemed one of the gourmet venues of munich.

no clue why and how they came to this fame, i found this place to be extremely mediocre and way below what u would expect of a famous restaurant.

given the high prices, i would have expected to get a "culinary explosion" on my tastebuds, but that was absolutely not the case. my beef was over-seasoned, very disappointing overall.

This is a gem of a restaurant for food junkies like us. We had the surprise menu and it was everything you could ask for and more. Wine suggestions were knowledgable, staff were nice, easygoing, helpful and fast. Prices: Not cheap but not super expensive.

Terrine is a bit hard to find though, but its worth the trouble. It is in a rather descreet passage to Türkisch Strasse, and not in the first och second opening but in the last. And even tricky to find there...

Go there anyway! You'll love it.

What a wonderful experience, if you enjoy French style food, prix fix, and wine parings. Jennifer, the sommelier, was a delight. Service was impeccable, food, a gastronomic delight. A wonderful mix of tastes and textures, all done with a light hand -- including foam. Michelin rated, justifiably so. Guten appetit! Well worth the trip -- ask for directions a bit hard to find.

We took the 10 course sampling menue (which they call "tapas", but it is the real deal). Overall the approach is quite technical. Clear tastes and textures - I don't need to mention that all produce is of superb quality - which builds up as you start to combine the items on your plate. The optional wine-choice fitting to each course was great - perfectly chosen and presented with just enough information to enjoy new wines.
In answer to some reviews here - yes, they change the order of things bringing the meat before the fish. But that was great for us as they brought out a very subdued, mellow meat course and then a feisty fish. If you opt for the wines to match you won't have a problem there.
All in all I can only say that this might easily be Munich's top restaurant right now and in comparison to Tantris the interior is nicer, the food less classic (which doesn't mean Tantris is bad at all, just different) and I for one will be back.
