“Very friendly and efficient hotel”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

We visited this hotel for one night, to break up a longer drive. Were received very warmly and professionally. The room was small but comfortable - and the hotel is in a great location, easily reached by car and a 5 minute walk to the city center. The breakfast was very nice and the staff super friendly, definitely a pleasant discovery.

This hotel was booked for one night on way home. It is about a 15 minute walk from the station and just outside the old city walls. The room isn't large but was adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable and the aircon quiet. The bathroom was very small and a little dated I thought. That said it was sufficient for our needs. The breakfast was superb with every combination of food available. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I had sufficient time to visit the old town and it is a must being very beautiful indeed. The castle is worth the walk!

A family overnight in the Park Inn Nueremberg turned out to beat all expectations thanks to the very polite staff. A real pleasant surprise! As a fan of the Radisson group hotels (Razidor) I usually stay there if there is one in town. It was my first time in Nueremberg but we felt like regular guests. Keep it up!

Your typical Park Inn. Clean, functional rooms for a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable, and the room was totally quiet. Water pressure in the shower could be better, an iron would be nice, as would a fridge. There is no free computer available, but there is free wifi if you have your own. The location is close to the old wall and old town, and about a 20 minute walk from the main train station. We didn't have breakfast, as it is quite expensive. There are lots of lovely bakeries around. The hotel is nothing special, but it is reliable, with professional staff, and is good value for money.

Loved the hotel - it was right across the street from the train station and close to the biggest market in Germany. Little bakery right around the corner was good for breakfasts too. Very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Even felt safe coming home late. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. Loved the little bar in the hotel too, was just right.

Overall, the hotel is simple and nice. Rooms are small, but sufficient for sleeping. I found the bed to be too firm as I always woke up with a sore back. It was also a bit noisy at night. Too many doors slamming and you could hear the water running and other noises from nearby rooms. Internet was sufficient for our needs and worked well.

The staff is friendly and helpful. If you want the Nuremburg pass or day passes on the transportation network, you can purchase them from the front desk. It seems cheaper to buy a 2-day pass from them for 6,50 euro than at the station. If you need to go to a laundromat there is one about 10 min. away. Ask the front desk for directions to “Eco Express Waschsalon”. It is brand new and inexpensive.

Breakfast is not included and cost 17 euros. However, when you check in they offer you breakfast for 12 euros. We could not find any breakfast places nearby so we opted to take the breakfast deal. You must decide when you check in. In reality they should have just included breakfast in their rate even if it means increasing it slightly. The breakfast was the same every day. It included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, meatballs (very good), corn flakes, dried fruit, breads and rolls, yogurt, fruit salad, deli meats, and juice.

The sauna is nice and they provide a bathrobe and slippers for you. The fitness center is also decent. Showers are powerful which is a nice change compared to most hotels, but you do have to watch the amount of water that will collect at the bottom.

How to find the hotel? From the central train station, get on the U1 to Plarrer (2 stops). When you exit the train look for an exit to Frauentorgraben (you will have to go up the escalator to see this sign), but it should be to the left off the train. Exit the station and turn right at the top of the stairs to an intersection. Go right on AM Plarrer. Take this street towards the major set of lights. Go across two lights and you will see the hotel on your right tucked away from the street. You will have to cross one more road. It is a 2-3 min. walk to the hotel from the U station.

The park Inn in Nuernberg is a spot away from the old city centre, making it a handy location if you're either on a holiday or business trip. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional, helping out with directions and tips. It's really centrally located so one can walk to the city centre in a few minutes. The room i was given , at the fifth floor was very small but cosy, the bathroom though could do with a little improvement. For a 3 star hotel it looked more like a hostel bathroom. although it was clean and had all essentials, there was barely any room to move about and no body lotion which was a bit of a let down. The breakfast room has a courtyard outside and if the weather is good i recommend you have your breakfast outdoor. plenty of choice of breads, jams and savoury dishes, fresh fruits and yogurt albeit I think 17euro (the price they charge for breakfast) is really too high, there are plenty of excellent bakeries in the surrounding and that price is almost like a full meal. The Park inn has also a security guarded carpark which makes it handy if you are driving with valuables. overall a good choice, I recommend it even though I am sure there are better options in the nearby areas.

I'm sorry to hear you missed some amenities in our bathroom. We do not provide them regularly inside our rooms but are happy to hand out anything that is missed. We have a good stock of different amenities at our Front Desk; please just ask our staff!
