Ate here twice during a recent stay in Nuremberg - served by two different ladies and contrary to the previous review - no screaming! In fact both ladies were working extremely hard and efficiently - compliments to them them.

This restaurant is located in a quiet area just within the city walls. Hence their prices are lower than some of the places on the main tourist drags. Why did I visit twice? Quality of the food / price / the varied menu. The latter was a real bonus as they serve a combination of Czech and German dishes - after a week of sampling German fare this place offered the bit of variety that I was looking for. Most expensive dishes came in at about 9.5 Euros. Limited number of desserts but enjoyable all the same. Drinks cheaper than elsewhere as well.

Interior clean. Seemed very popular with locals which is always a good sign. Not sure if credit cards accepted. This place is worth seeking out. Recommended.

We stayed one night at this pension and we wanted to have dinner in their restaurant. I must say that the restaurant was quite busy but I went inside to ask if they still serve food, as it was about 9 in the evening. when asked if they still serve food, the lady who was serving just told me that the restaurant is full. She took the plates at a table and when she came back and saw me standing there, she screamed at me again that the restaurant is full. I said again that I just want to know if they still serve food and what time is the kitchen closed, and again she screamed at me that the restaurant is full and made a sign towards the door, like she wanted us out of there. My wife got very angry, especially because we were staying at that pension for the night and the lady did not even want to talk to us in a civilized manner. After taking a walk around the old town, we decided to go back to our room, and I went downstairs to have a beer and wait for a table to be free. When I went in the restaurant again, that lady came to me getting ready to scream again, but I did not give her that chance and I asked to talk with the manager, and then the manager, who was also the cook and I think is the owner and husband of that lady, came to me, and I explained what we've been trough with that lady and he apologized and offered to serve our food in the room. So I took a menu upstairs, wrote the order on a paper and we had a lovely dinner in our pension room. I must say that the food was delicious, and at very good price. Besides the behavior of that lady, this restaurant is a lovely place, with great prices and amazing food.
