We showed up without a reservation and got the last room. Room #1 right next to the breakfast room and reception. For only 56 Euros per night for 2 people it was worth what we paid and included breakfast. The breakfast buffet was good: cold meats, cheeses, coffee, cereal, breads, yogurt. Internet was 5 Euros for your stay with a 20 Euro deposit for the cables, but it did not work on my Mac so they refunded my money. The bathroom had a tub and no shower and the toilet faucet leaked in the back onto a pile of towels (it didn't bother us). It was pretty noisy - the front door had a loud bell on it and you could hear the staff making breakfast in the morning on the other side of the wall. Rosie, the hotel manager was super sweet and helpful. The room had a mini fridge which was great for our beer. The hotel is right next to the Germanic History Museum and we walked to Kaiserburg Castle on the other side of the interior city wall. There is great shopping all around and don't miss the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds Museum (Dokumentationszentrum Reichsparteitagsgelände). We had a rental car and paid 5 Euros per day to park our car in the hotel's garage. The location inside the old city wall was super.
