I stayed here with a group. Rooms are small but we paid an exorbitant top price of 250 euros. They also charge 19 euros a day for wifi, though someone negotiated a reduction, and wanted 3 euros per bag to help the older group members. Lighting in bedrooms is inadequate. Rooms at front are likely yo be noisy and should be avoided. Only one lift for the whole hotel means waits if you have limited mobility or heavy baggage ( though a service elevator can also be used). The breakfast is very good, however, and some staff were very helpful (one guy offered to clean my shoes when I pointed out that the machine was out of order). It should be possible to do better in Nuremberg.

Dear UKandFrance
Thank you for your review and your detailed explanations. Demand and price are in very close coherence and I am sure if you would have traveled during a time were less pressure is on the city you would have received a value for money price. The wifi charges often cause complaints but this is managed by the company and not by the hotel. That you did not receive assistance with the luggage is a no go and please accept my apologies for this. My team and I hope that you will give us a second chance and we would be happy if you would stay with us again, be rest assured, we can do it better.
Yours sincerely

We were a little disappointed at the size of the junior suite and the street noise was pretty loud.
We prefer a hot kettle in the room and there was nothing to make coffee or tea. The location was superb near the underground and buses. The staff was most helpful in helping us maneuver to our sites on mass transit. We also learned of its historic place for witnesses during the Nuremberg Trials while visiting the Hall of Justice.

Dear bink_79
Thank you for your review. You are right with mentioning that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and therefore we offer each guest a complimentary tea or coffee in the bar. We are aware that some rooms are noisier then other and this has been addressed and will change those windows shortly. Thank you also for your comments about the friendly and helpful associates.
We all hope you will stay with us again once you are in town and remain

We stayed at this hotel for four nights during the German Touring Car racing at the nearby Norisring and we chose it for its amazingly convenient location near the train station. Just two push-button crossings to reach it over the main road, no underpasses or long detours required. The old town starts just across the next road too and you are only a few minutes walk to the central squares.

Although it seems to be a more business focused hotel than a tourist one, we found the service excellent and the staff at the front desk were happy to look after our bags before we checked in (since we arrived into Nuremberg quite early) and after we checked out, giving us some extra time to explore the beautiful city.

The room was a good European size with immaculate bathroom (with bath and shower). I would readily stay here again.

We paid 280 euros per night, or almost 400 US dollars.
The food is pedestrian.
They charge 19 euros per day for internet service in the room, even though we came with a very distinguished international group of over 30 people.

Dear Gothicist
Thank you for your review, which is unfair and you know it. The price depends on the demand and the internet charges have nothing to do with the food or the service. When I book a flight and have to pay for the drinks I consume, I do not knock the airline either.
Yours sincerely

We stayed here one night whole returning to the uk from Austria by train. The location was perfect for this - right opposite the station and only a few minutes into the town. Lovely room; a free coffee in the bar, excellent facilities and the best breakfast of our whole holiday - champagne, huge choice of cooked and prepared foods, eggs cooked to order. Couldn't be a better breakfast. Would definitely stay here again as I would like to see more of this interesting town.

This really is a great hotel and certainly one of the better ones in which we have stayed during our times touring Germany and the rest of Europe. We travelled to Nuremberg by train and the hotel is almost just across the square. Our room was a good size, spotlessly clean and very quiet facing an inner courtyard. We spent a bit of time in the Atelier Bar with drinks and snacks and were well looked after by the very pleasant and efficient staff. Breakfast was good with a choice of hot and cold food. Very convenient for sightseeing as the Altstadt and tram stops are almost just outside the front door of the hotel. This was our first visit to Nuremberg and very much hope one day to return.

Dear TOMTOMCARIBOU
As Mr. Hilton already said, location, location, location is one of the most important aspects of running a succesful hotel. All of that is the case with the Grand Hotel, a superb location and well trained and efficient associates. Thank you for your review and your comments about that.
My team and I also hope that you will return one day and remain.
