The receptionists were very helpful and we arrived early for check-in and still let us have the room. The bed was clean and comfortable and the loacation was perfect. The old town is very small so staying on the south-eastern edge was a great spot, especially as it is near the main station. The only issues were very minor. Room service kept knocking on the door at 8:30 am and there was some maintenance work going on at the time which was noisy in the morning. Overall though it was perfect for our budget needs.

Very convenient location, three minutes' walk from the U2 underground station and from the main train station. Five minutes' walk into town. You pass an Aldi on the way - great for cheap food and beer. Hotel has a welcoming lobby with free computers, friendly staff and a 24-hour bar where you can always get a hot drink. Free unlimited wi-fi in all the rooms, beds very comfortable. What else do you want at that price?

I stayed three nights at the Ibis Nuernberg Hauptbahnhof. There was a convention in town so rooms were somewhat at a premium. My room was adequate but what was annoying was the staff. I accidently cut my thumb on some rough metal at the doorway. It wasn't serious, but it was bleeding a great deal. I ask the front desk for a napkin to help me control the bleeding. You would have thought that I had asked for a 100 Euro note. Then I noticed the bar and went there to see if I saw a napkin and they treated me like a criminal. So I let it bleed, went to my room and ruined a towel.

Top location near the train station but not noisy, clean & modern, awesome bed & pillow (so comfy). Great internet connection in room. Short walk to nearby cafes etc
Staff were fairly unhelpful & only knew basic English. Smokers hung out at a table at the entrance so every time you entered/exited the hotel you had to walk through a cloud of smoke.

We visited Nuremberg for the Christmas markets when the hotel rates can be quite high. The Ibis offered a reasonable rate. It is just across the street from the old town so was convenient to walk everywhere and just a couple of minutes from the train station as well.
The staff were friendly and courteous.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet and we slept well. The hotel itself is rather basic with not much character. The corridors are perhaps the longest and plainest I have ever seen.
It was a good value and convenient to the old town.
We did not have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on that. There were plenty of nice cafes in town just a few minutes' walk away so we preferred to do that.

Decent sized spotless room a block from the train station and walking distance to old city sights & shopping. Booked a couple weeks in advance and was a good value. Would stay here again if I could get a similar rate.
