We stayed in the tower room, really a wonderfull view in the morning. We loved the option of breakfast and dinner in the hostel, also a great way to meet people. There were a lot of families when we were there and we understand why, a great affordable place to stay. A hostel where history and modern decoration is combined, we highly recommend it!

Very interesting hostel and newly renovated from inside, the main hall serve as a breakfast room which is nicely decorated.
Room was clean but a bit dusty floor, bathroom can't be cleaner and the mattress was on the hard side.
Nice breakfast, the normal standard hostels one, also friendly and cooperative staff.

For walking from the train station, I don't recommend as it's a long uphill walking (I estimate 30 minutes), I went outside the train station to the tourist office and got the public trasportation directions, which consists of taking U-bahn, change to another, then taking the tram and stopping near the west of the hostel (still would be around 8 minutes and some uphill walking).
But returning back should be easy and nice walk through the old quarter, you just head straight south to the train station.

Would I recommend it? yes if you're fit and not carrying a heavy backpac, and sure I could stay again in it.

We stayed at the hosted for only one night but we did enjoy it much. The Hostel building used to be the castle stables and is only 5 minutes on foot from the center
we were lucky to enjoy the awesome city view from the 7th floor where we had our room. Clean with private toilets, excellent service and friendly welcome. We loved everything about the building especially the louche and breakfast area. Wifi is available in almost all building occupied not only by youngsters but also by couples and families.
