To get tickets for this tour you need to walk up the street a little from the entrance to these cellars at the brewery number 19 Bergstrass. Only a minutes walk. Tours are done at set times & last about 60 minutes. You descend into the entrance of the cellars and are confronted with a picture of a B17 bomber & bomb hanging from the ceiling. The cellars where also used during WW2 as air raid shelters. After that you proceed through this small tunnel to get to the cellars. I am 6 foot and had to duck down, well worth it, the entrance is a good led up to the tour. Had audio guides as it's done in German but the guide was very helpful & speaks English. If you have questions just ask her, which she was only to happy to respond. We had a small group. A very interesting tour well worth it. Only 5 euro I thought good value. Plenty of places after the tour to have lunch & a beer.

Being WW2 buff's this was a must see for us. Not the easiest place to find. You buy the tickets at the same place as for the "Beer Bunker/Cellar's. We had a traditional very Bavarian guide who spoke little English but the audio guide thing gave the bulk of the info we needed. Very atmospheric place. It can get cold so wear take a jumper/jacket even in summer.

Great tour of nuremberg history. Amazing information that few people know. It is cold but it is underground !! Also audio tour was fine. Those who are critical are forgetting you are in Germany ...

I wouldn't of known of this place if one if my friends didn't tell me about it but it was my favourite place in the city. The underground bunkers you tours were originally used for beer making. The tour is delivered in German but they give you an English audio guide. It's extremely cold so wear warm clothes.

while the ticket booth is not the easiest of places to find, the bunker is worth a visit to understand how the Nazis prepared Nuremberg for WWII and also how the bunker served as a place of refuge, especially for the art pieces. don't expect any art pieces to be exhibited there though.

for some reason or another, entry to the bunker is only possible with a guide which i still cannot comprehend why. while tours are offered in German, audio guides are also available in other languages like English, Spanish, Italian and French (if Im not mistaken). the guide however finishes the tour faster than the audio guide would take so it was quite embarrassing for my friend and I to finish listening to the last track and have her wait for us to do so. she was nonetheless very pleasant about it - actually she even brought us to the ticket office as we had just alighted from the Tram 4 at the Tiergartenor stop and were trying to find our way.

perhaps it'd be good to feature more art pieces that were stored in the bunker besides those already there and it is with great hope that the bunker would be open for longer hours for more to visit as the entire set-up and concept behind it is definitely quite interesting!
