Owner description: Informative, non-strenuous walking tours of both the Old Town and Rally Grounds of Nuremberg in English. Our tours normally leave at 11:15 from the large center entrance of the Nuremberg train station on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Private tours and driving tours in English, German and French are also available!

Our guide was Jason, who was also from Illinois. He did a wonderful job. He was knowledgable. The pace of the tour was perfect. Most of the tour takes place in Old Town. You do get on a city bus to head down to where the Nuremberg stadium was during the early 1930s. I don't think we missed anything in the city.

We came to Nurnberg as a day trip from Rothenburg besides grabbing a quick early lunch, our only activity was taking the city tour. From what we understand, the only way to get a castle tour in English is to take the city tour and the castle alone was worth the tour. Our guide was a teacher and she was excellent, covering the market square, the castle, Albrecht Durer House, and many other attractions. Our guide was full of history and made the stories interesting. Pace was very good. Highly recommended. The Christmas Market is very large but I wouldn't go to Nuremberg just for the market. Many object offered can be found in other towns and cities. It's better to go for the town (and tour) itself.

Like the previous review stated, if your start this tour in Nuremberg you meet the guide in front of the main train station at 1115. Our guide for the day was Keith. Very knowledge and super nice guy. Showed us the Nazi rally grounds, the old town and castle. With every penny if you have the time to spare.

I took the full-day Nuremberg walking tour from Nuremberg but it also leaves from Munich. So, you can pick it up in Munich or Nuremberg. In Nuremberg, the tour starts promptly at 11:15am in front of the main train station. It costs 12 Euros per person and it was worth the price without question. The tour is divided into two parts. The first two hours is a walking tour of Nuremberg Old Town. The second two hours is a walking tour of the Nazi Party Rally grounds. (You take a bus there.) We had a 40 minute break for lunch. Our guide had written two books on the Nazis and he knew his stuff. He readily answered any question that we had.

It seems incredible walking around the centre of old Nuremberg that 90% was destroyed during the war, the restoration has been so well done. We were on an escorted walk but I have no idea if it was by this company, simply Trip Adviser didn't give the choice of a review of the city on its own. The walls around the old city are still standing which really makes the difference between the old and the modern stand out. We only had a brief visit but I would certainly recommend a walk around this old drown.
