“Noisy location, but else fine on budget”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

It is close to the Central station and the Alstadt and the room was fine enough. The breakfast was better then expected. The only thing you need to notice is, that the hotel is placed in the "dirty" street of Nuremberg between sex clubs and stores, so maybe not the best place for children. The clubs may as well be loud to late at night, so remember ear plugs. But if you go on budget and are not that disturbed by the above, then it is good.

Room Tip: Rooms whith windows away from Luitpoldstrasse is to prefer.

From the outside, the building looks like a building in a suburb of Gotham. The interior could be used when shooting dark thriller. The surrounding area is also amazing - casinos, strip bars, gay cinema ...Unholy noise from the street. I fell asleep around 1:30 AM. At 6:30 AM I woke up because of the rattle of a machine building across the street... So - if you do not sleep at night and the only criteria for you is a great breakfast, this is the clear choice.

Yes the hotel does need a revamp but it is clean, great value and only 5-10 minutes from a great selection of bars & restaurants. Breakfast is good, a fine selection of meats, cheeses, fruit, bread rolls, scrambled eggs, frankfurters etc; washed down with decent coffee. Staff are very friendly.
Yes the area is a little noisy but every traveller should always carry earplugs!

We booked this and found that the location is right next to several strip clubs. The hotel smelled musty and the room was barely adequate. It was bad enough we walked right back out and didn't stay there. But then, that's why they make you pay this hotel in advance so that you have to take a loss getting out of the hotel. They weren't understanding nor helpful.

We ended up staying at the b&b just a mile away for about half the cost at a substantially better hotel, this place is a ripoff.

Wonderful friendly welcome from lovely staff but just an awful hotel. Rooms like a sauna or noisy with window open, no English language TV, no minibar, no soap even in bathroom just awful for the money. We paid 128 euro a night.....worth 50. Sorry. Because the staff were lovely.

An interesting experience. We were moved here 2 days before arrival (8 person Christmas Markets group). VERY UNHAPPY with the hotel that moved us. This is in the heart of the redlight district...naked girls dancing across the street. IT's 14 steps up a narrow hallway to the elevator access. Rooms are old, bath not up to typical german hotel standards. Only get's 2 stars because breakfast was excellent, and staff was very nice! But the women in our group were not happy. This was a trick the other hotel played on us. We will not stay at either location again. Do not let this affect your decision to visit Nuremberg! Market, and sausage restaurant and HBF all excellent!

Room Tip: Not a place for retired, Christmas Markets visitors!

The location is good - but that's about it.
It's very noisy and bad value for money, horrible customer service:
I left my luggage at the reception because I couldn't check in on time -when I wanted to pick it up later, it couldn't be found anymore. On the next day the cleaning lady searched for it and found it finally. They didn't even offer me a discount or some compensation - they were just happy to make some cash out of a nice location without investing into clean facilities etc.
I would recommend you not to stay there.
