We stayed here the last weekend, right in the center of the old town of Regensburg - so you are in walking distance to all the attractions - a fantastic location for a hotel.

The rooms are all unique. We had a room with medieval wood insertions in the wall and a really comfortable bed. The decor makes you feel home. In a very chic home.

Great variety at the breakfast. It's not a buffet, but you can chose between many variations, from meaty to vegetarian, from sweet and simple to omelettes and quiche. The baguettes and light salty butter are a dream.

The staff is really friendly and ready to help you with everything.

We will definitely return to this great hotel!

Close to everything this hotel has a boho feel. A fantastic restaurant attached, wifi and soft comfy bed. Young enthusiastic staff give this hotel a great feel. Be sure to take in the walking tour at the tourist info centre as it explains the cities history. Sundays were too quiet for us as everything except cafés were closed.

Stayed here recently, right in the centre of Regensburg, a fantastic location for a hotel. The hotel showcases Parisian life on the ground floor and the hotel rooms offer a level of comfort i've previously not experienced anywhere. Cant wait to return

A very original and interesting place in the old town of Regensburg. Efficient service although not very warm. Charming and very comfortable room. Good price. Exçellent breakfast. Entrance is not very cosy. We missed a real bar where to relax and to have a drink late at night or waiting for the pick-up. I would recommend it but would suggest some improvement.

Staying in this hotel was a lot of fun. Germany is known for its cutting edge art and staying in this hotel was like a stay in an art gallery. The art was outlandish, satirical, and much of it was "R" (if not "X") rated. The staff was great. The room was large with a view of the Cathedral. The location was perfect, in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was included and was better than wonderful. Free WiFi. All at a price of about 150 Euros /night.

My family of four (two kids ages 10 and 13) stayed at Hotel Orphee for one night in July.

Regensburg is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Bavaria on the Danube River with narrow cobblestone streets, a variety of local shops and restaurants, and small town squares. The hotel oozes turn of the (19th) century French glamour and mystery. When I walked into our room, I immediately grabbed my camera to take pictures of the stunning decor.

Centrally located, Hotel Orphee is decorated in a Baroque palazzo style. Each room is decorated differently, but nearly all feature antiques and four-poster beds. My room had high ceilings, a wrought-iron bed, a beautiful chandelier, Italian marble floors, velvet chairs, tapestries and a huge Moroccan-tiled bathroom. Upon arrival, the hotel left a bottle of wine and fruit in our room. The rooms are large and reasonably priced.

The Orphee Restaurant is a French bistro which has been in operation since 1896. A hearty breakfast is served in this beautiful restaurant.

The hotel's charm and beauty transports you distinctly back to a different era.

One big downside, however - in the summer when the windows are open, the narrow streets in front of the hotel get unbelieveably noisy. We heard late-night diners as we were going to bed, in the middle of the night we heard a very loud drunken group (college students??), then in the morning we were awakened by the sounds of suitcases being rolled down the cobblestone streets. The sounds reverberate off the very narrow stone streets. We are from New York City, so we are used to some noise, but if you are a light sleeper, this hotel is NOT for you.

3 adults shared large room, with wonderfully comfortable beds. Wine and water complementary in room. Extra large bathroom & toilet area. Loved the toiletries provided.
The location is perfect, in Old Town area. Wonderful shops in area & easy walk to historical locations. Restaurant provided oustanding breakfast. It is a bit quirky in decorating style, but made a fun setting. Would definately stay here again. Loved Regensbergs!!!
