Family run small hotel, which is a very good budget option. Rooms basic but clean. Breakfast good with plenty of choices. Staff helpful. Situated very near the remarkable Fuggerei, which claims to be the oldest social housing settlement in the world. About 20-25 minutes walk from railway station and 5-10 minutes to The Rathaus.

Jakoberhof is located opposite from the famous Fugger Museum and not far from the center of town. We shared a room for three people in a separate building that was not part of the main reception area. The staircase leading to the room is a bit cold and unwelcoming but the room itself was comfortable and clean. We were not disturbed by any street noise. Free wifi was available but spotty and slow at times. Breakfast was abundant and the lady at the desk friendly. We had a pleasant stay at a reasonably priced hotel and thought we got good value for what we paid.

We got 2 rooms, a double and a triple. We added breakfast for 5 Euro each. It was very nice. The beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. The desk man recommended our dinner place, within walking distance and it was also delightful. Breakfast was plentiful and had a nice selection. Plan on stairs. No lift in sight and we were on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Not a problem for us, but just be aware. Parking is right out the door, and tight, but free. There was no shower curtain so I got water everywhere, but the bathroom was adequate and very clean.

Small, good service, breakfast was good, good location, near supermarkets.

A good base to explore Augsburg, and good town to stay in if going to Munich.

Dont expect a hotel service, its more of a motel with a nice breakfast BUT be warned, at Oktoberfest time its full of drunken kids...perhaps they should have a policy to stop this cos the bathrooms were filthy every morning...vomit, pee, and it one case semen! Not the hotels fault, but still...

We had a room with 2 single beds, and shared bathroom. I would recommend to only have a room with its own bathroom to avoid the issue above...

Really in the end, its a nice place for a backpacker, but a budget place for hotel goers.

Room Tip: Rooms with there own bathrooms are a must! Dont get the shared ones...

Positive:

- Excellent combination of low price and good location next to the old center.
- Many rooms face a small courtyard and are quiet. Don't know about the others.
- Parking.

Negative:
- Rooms are small.
- Breakfast wasn't included.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the courtyard
