We had a great time in this very central hotel. the breakfasts are great with lots of coffee and family to serve you a fine breakfast in lovely surroundings.
The reception staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. they gave great money and time saving tips to travel around and get the best of your time in Fussen.
We loved it and had a traditional meal in the restaurant.
It has a very central location and can be easily reached by train from Munich.

Room Tip: We were in a deluxe room it had a lovely balcony and was spacious.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station and is centrally located in Fussen. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby and the restaurant in the hotel itself is good and very convenient. A Fussen card is included in the room rate and allows usage of the bus which was very useful for visiting the nearby castles. The spa and swimming facilities are not on-site and we did not visit them. Our room was in a building behind the hotel lobby/restaurant and spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the town castle. The room was quiet and the included breakfast was fairly standard as European hotel breakfasts go which included fruit, cold meat and cheese etc. The bathroom was modern and had a very nice shower. You had to walk outside from the lobby/restaurant to the hotel rooms and there was a pretty bad odor in the parking area which may have been the result of the warm weather during our visit. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: You may wish to request a ground floor room if you are traveling with a lot of luggage.

We loved our meal at this hotel's restaurant. My wife had the turkey wiener snitzel and I, pork sausages with potatoes. Both meals were delicious and satisfactory for our above average appetites. The waitress was extremely friendly and displayed the first restaurant smile we've seen in weeks. The atmosphere is wonderful and meals came out with perfect timing. To top it off the prices were reasonable.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and young son. We arrived later than expected and the receptionist was waiting in the car park, was very welcoming and even helped us park. Room was large and the triple room provided a separate bedroom for my son which he loved. The shower room was a bit in the small side, but otherwise the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was large and the breakfast room very characterfully decorated. Would defo stay here again.

This is another of these nice and friendly smaller hotels. When we arrived there was a minor problem with the booking of three rooms but they quickly and efficiently dealt with it most satisfactorily. The hotel is very central and convenient with the essential (for us) parking and wi-fi. The rooms were pleasant and clean as one would expect. We had our first night dinner in the hotel which was very good quality and value with good inexpensive wine. The great thing about these smaller hotels is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Good English as well! We certainly would stay here again if we were in Fussen.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our vacation in Germany. The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly at check-in and throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and clean (though dated) with a double bed, couch, and coffee table--no balcony but that was okay because it would have been a view of a parking lot. The large wall of windows let in a lot of light and when the weather was good, it was nice to open the windows and listen to the birds sing. The bathroom was nicely renovated and clean. We were able to send down a load of laundry and it was done the next day.

We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant two nights-good traditional food and beer at a reasonable price on both occasions. Also, good cappuccinos and lattes. However, the second night the restaurant was very busy, the server unfriendly, and we were told they had no dessert left. The breakfast buffet was okay, there was a decent selection of foods to choose from, but you can skip the brewed coffee.

This was a great location for wandering around town on foot, and as a base to drive to nearby attractions. It took five minutes to walk to the assigned car park from the hotel, but it was an easy drive to Hohenshwangau and Neushwanstein. We also took some longer drives to Linderhof Castle and the town of Kempten.

While the Wi-Fi was free, we could not establish a connection from our room and had to go down to the public areas (Lounge, restaurant, bar) to access it. We brought this to the hotel's attention but they were unable to boost the signal enough for it to work in the room. Also, there was a sewer smell coming up from the shower drain. We did not bring this to the hotel's attention, but simply kept the shower doors closed and covered the drain with a wet washcloth to trap the odor better.

We really liked this hotel. Our room was on floor 2 and overlooked the entryway; it was a great room. Very spacious, very new, the bathroom was fantastic. There was no A/C, but we expected that and nights were cool in June. We didn't have reservations for the castles, and the hotel had already made arrangements for people who didn't have reservations but wanted to go (thank you hotel!!!). We decided to eat dinner in the hotel's restaurant, and the food was outstanding. The restaurant server had a bad attitude but we didn't let that ruin our meal. A few things about breakfast: the breakfasts here were great. Breakfast service was great. Take time to have a look around the breakfast room, the decor is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: There are rooms on the parking lot behind the main building - they might be a little quieter than th...
