We probably set our expectations too high after reading all the positive reviews on tripadvisor. We were somewhat let down by the view - we were given the leftmost room in the leftmost building and half the view was blocked by a tree. Also, the place is pretty dated and wifi was spotty. Apart from that the parking was covered and we used the free laundry facility. But overall, I am not sure if it justifies the price we payed to stay here.

Me and my wife stayed one night there and our first minutes were already disturbing. We checked in extremely late for Germany's standards (not after midnight as in Brazil, but as early as 08 PM). At that time there was no one at the desk and we went to the restaurant the next door (which is interconnected). The lady quickly helped us and gave our room key, then we took the lift and....that was the wrong key! It took nearly 20 minutes for the owner to help us with the right key (an old and very friendly lady by the way). After we settled down we noticed some marks in the ceiling near the window, and that the furniture was a bit old. We then realized the wireless internet service was not working - it only turns on if you go to the "red building" (it is very close to our building) and activates it. Then, we wanted to enjoy the nice view of the lake and moutains in the small balcony for a romantic night, but....the ceililing outside had some spiders and their nets, and the table a bit dirty. We could not relax and enjoy it. Anyway, it was clear to me that the hotel has poor maintenance (cleaning, housekeeping and attention to details). Finally, the rooms don't have a phone device (which means you are isolated) which means there is no room service.

Though we did not stayed in the hotel itself we had our dinner in their Osteria twice and both times enjoyed it very much. We were 2 families with children and each found what to eat! Salads, soups, pastas, pizza - everything was perfect! Try tomato soup!
Lamb was not too good, but other meat dishes are well done! A very nice touch from the owners was sumbucca at the end!
There is also a restaurant terrace with beautiful lake view, though we did not sit there, the weather was not too warm!
Highly recommended dining experience!

Overall we were happy about our stay there. We just found our appartement to be a little bit small and the sofa bed not really usable (the different part were not really fitted together) and our appartement was facing the road but very quiet, it was only a shame that we could not have the lovely view on the lake. Apart from that there are a lot of facilities, free washing machines and dryers, kindergarden, warm swimming pool etc...we also found that the 15€/person asked for the breakfast were too much and we didn't try it so it might worth it but I can't say...

Room Tip: TRy to have the room with the lake view!!

We needed a place to stay for a night while we stopped in Fuesen to check out the neuschwanstein castle on our way from Prague to Florence. We expected a nice bed at an affordable price. When we arrived, the lady at front desk only spoke German and Italian - so communicating was a bit tough, she was borderline rude. The second we walked into our room, we just dropped our bags and our jaws. I have never seen a more beautiful view out a balcony to this day.
The suite had a great shower, MP3 player, plenty of room and closets, at the same time very cozy. Granted, we only stayed there for a night so I cannot say much more about the room, but the downstairs had... a BEAUTIFUL sauna (at least by New York standards), ping pong tables, a swimming pool with a big glass wall and view of the lake, gym and much more I no longer remember. The place was very quiet in April, so we had all of this to ourselves essentially for the night. None of us wanted to sleep because the view and amenities were just breathtaking. I cannot believe we almost did not stop here and almost switched to a different hotel last minute - this was hands down the best experience I have ever had. If there is one place I will not die without revisiting it will be this place.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the lake view. Seriously, my balcony at home faces the beach, but this was a whole ano...

A very nice location a few miles from Fussen. We did have a beautiful lake view from our apartment and did manage a 90 minute hike around the lake. An ideal hotel for families with the pool and game rooms. A very small kitchen stove with a small under the counter refrigerator but was fine for the two of us. Our stay was relatively quiet while we were there in late September--few children around. Has free underground parking. Wireless worked fine for us. Free use of the laundry room was greatly appreciated. Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk. Room was a bit dated. The bed was comfortable.
