The Euro Park has the air of an old fashioned ski resort hotel - dated decor (miniscule showers!) etc. and yet manages to be somewhere you can have a really nice stay. The staff are all lovely, really friendly, the restaurant is very good indeed and you can relax all evening. Location handy for central Fussen and the Ludwig castles.

Alert to hotel: we couldn't use the bar due to the overpowering aroma of mothballs!

We booked 2 rooms, 1 twin and 1 double, we arrived at 14:30 and the rooms were not ready. Went to the castles instead, which was great and the main reason for our visit. Once we finally checked in, we had 2 rooms with each 3 single beds.... As I needed to shower, I tried to do so, but the shower stall was so ridiculously small that an average-sized adult had difficulties to get in/shower/get out. Breakfast buffet was a let-down as well, mediocre food, considering that usually in Germany the breakfast buffets are quite decent, this one was a disappointment. The Hotel looks OK on the brochures/website and from the outside it's so, but inside it should be renovated. The main business seems to be Asian tour groups, mornings and evenings are very busy with lot's of people/bus movement. I would not return to this Hotel.

The website definitely makes the place look a lot better then what it actually is, the outside is nice but the inside needs a much needed revamp which is a shame because it has a lot of potential! I would not stay here longer then a night, within saying that take note you will have to pay for parking at the hotel & when arriving you must pay a vistor tax.

When you first walk in you can tell it's catered for the Japanese. Our room was by key entry(you know you are stepping back in time when you have to use a key!), the room was quiet cold and the toilet smelt of sewerage to the point that even with the bathroom door closed you could still smell it! Not pleasant! The only thing I really liked about the room is that it was a decent size, had an alright view and in the morning I could hear the river flowing below which was wonderful. Compared to the many other German hotels I stayed in the breakfast was bad. If possible avoid this hotel.

This hotel was remarkable for the lengths it went to catering to its Japanese tour groups. The 'table reserved' signs were in Japanese and miso soup was standard breakfast fare to give you an idea...You should expect bus-loads of tourists to arrive, flood the lobby, disperse, trickle back downstairs to use the internet, and crowd the breakfast room and lobby the next morning. Free internet is only available in the lobby, so you can't miss this ritual. Also, the smoking area seems to be immediately outside the wide-open front lobby door, so expect to be gassed while you surf.

The location could be good or bad depending on what you want from your hotel. It was a bit far (and up a large hill) from the train station if you're on foot, but it is charmingly tucked away in the woods next to the river. There are pedestrian paths that extend in either direction along the river which are a pleasant way to kill some time or get to town (15 min walk to Austria or old town Fussen).

This was the largest room of our trip (7 hotels in all). Everything was clean. The bathroom had shelf space for toiletries and the shower was raised with a shallow tub that was great for hand-washing clothes and not flooding the bathroom with every shower. The wardrobe was huge and handy for drying washed clothes. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Every room has a small balcony which helps keep the room cool in the summer.

Breakfast was pretty good for hotels in this price range in Europe. Scrambled eggs, sausage (more of a hot dog really), yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, lunch meats, juice, coffee, and the aforementioned miso soup. The tour groups don't get moving super early, so it is possible to sneak in before the hordes.
