The hotel, just outside the walls, is in an excellent position to visit the city of Nordlingen.
Unfortunately during our stay the hotel hosted a group of noisy children that crowded common spaces.
The services provided are essential; for example after the breakfast we had to clear the table by ourself.

Nothing flash or fancy here but nothing left wanting either. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and well appointed with surprisingly comfortable beds. The kids loved the mezzanine level bedroom and the playground. The grown ups loved the breakfast, a standard with JUFA. The only thing lacking? In room WiFi. Sitting in reception in my pj's at 11pm is not my idea of luxury!

Clean, no frills accommodation just outside the old city walls. An easy walk in to the old city and all the attractions therein. Room was clean, neat and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Decor could best be described as spartan. There is a lift to assist get your bags to the second floor and car parking is available at the front door. Decent breakfast included in price. A cafe is located within the complex.

We cycled the Romantic Road and stayed in Nordlingen one night. Only found two options for accommodation on line and opted for JUFA, based on trip advisor reviews. Overall, it was a great location, just outside the wall. THe room was large and had a balcony. It included sheets and towels too (which we weren't sure of being a hostel). Breakfast was okay, not the greatest choices of meat, and it's a bit like eating at Ikea in that you have to clear your table and sort plates and garbage. The biggest drawback was that we couldn't get our smart phones to work with the Internet. It said we would get an SMS but we never did. They do have one computer terminal with Internet for guests, so that's what we used. And you have to keep the windows closed because the church bells in the Altstadt ring ALL night!

Will admit we weren't sure what to expect at JUFA Nordlingen, but were pleasantly surprised. The place provided a perfect base for exploring Nordlingen - positioned at the city walls with it's own free car park. Rooms were a good size and well equipped, even having a balcony overlooking the gardens. We were only a couple, but the room did have fold out bunk beds too and would have still been spacious enough with 4 people. There was also plenty of hanging and wardrobe space (including a safe) for those staying longer than one night. Breakfast was simple but adequate, with good variety. Overall a well-priced and comfortable place to stay.
