“Budget, central, needs upgrade”

I booked 2 rooms for us and 2 children. The place is centrally located with opposite parking facility (open car park). The heating didn't work (winter!) and the rooms were both not very clean and very small. The beds were in bad condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were priced accordingly but I'd rather spend 10 Euros more for a better option which seems o be possible and close by. The breakfast was OK but nothing special and Ygermany can do much better than this one here.

We stayed for 1 night at this hotel and were very pleased we did. The location was excellent, within the old city walls and lots of choice of restaurants very close by. The parking was easy and located across the street from the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. Make sure you take time to walk the walls of the town. Staff were very friendly. We had a room on the second floor which was quiet. The town itself is well worth a gist and if we were to return we would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is right in the historical city center, 2 minutes walking from Market square and very close to the main touristic attractions. This is a good budget hotel: clean rooms ensuite fully equipped bathroom (the shower was really spacious and confortable) good breakfast and very helpful staff. I really suggest it for who wants to save money having the confort of a 3 stars hotel.

The hotel was an easy 10 minute walk from the railway station, just inside the city wall, very easy to find. The staff were very pleasant and really helpful, and spoke good English. The hotel is an old place that is quaint and quirky, with lots of character and no lift, not too much of a problem as you only have to carry you bags up to your room once! Breakfasts were a good start to the day. We had a triple room which was spacious, comfortable and quiet. We stayed two nights and on both nights ate in the restaurant, which was inexpensive and throughly enjoyable. The hotel was very well located for the centre and the Christmas market. Access onto the city wall was very easy from the hotel, almost right next to it. We had a truely enjoyable stay in Rothenburg.

Right inside the city walls, this place is about 10 - 15 min walk from the train station. Very convenient and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was good. It is a pretty old place, and that's what makes it authentic. We had to climb up two levels, which was not too bad.

Staff were really lovely and helpful. Location is just inside the city walls which made for a really authentic experience. Parking is easy and free, located just across the street. Breakfast was good, but not a huge variety.
Beds comfortable.
Our room ( room 21) had a road close by and was a bit noisey during the night.
Good value for money, such a beautiful town to visit for the Christmas markets. A smaller community vibe - i liked it much better than nuremburg.

We stayed two nights - would have liked to stay more!. Very clean and comfortable - in a recently (1 yr ago) refurbished room. Beds were nice and firm.
People seem to complain about a lot - creaking stairs etc - yes but that adds to the atmosphere! No lift - too bad, its an old place and therefore you need to carry your bags (its not that hard!)
Staff are very friendly and helpful, most had very good english. We felt at home here and would stay again.
Car parking was available (free) opposite the hotel.
The breakfast was buffet style and quite adequate. The restaurant was good - we ate there on 2 nights and it was very enjoyable, and inexpensive. A lot of locals seemed to eat here as well - a good sign.
As usual, we needed extra pillows - provided without hassle. Wifi was provided and worked well.
Location was excellent - just inside the city walls - easy access to the whole town. We found it fairly quiet - not that much traffic in the evenings, and we slept well.

Very good value - Highly recommended

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room!
