My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and immaculate, and the garden was a quiet and beautiful retreat. A short walk down the street and we were in the Castle Garden overlooking the Tauber River valley. Outside our window, the trees were blooming and their lovely fragrance perfumed our room when the windows were opened. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel in an adorable town. The room was fabulous with a lofted room for the kids. Service was outstanding. The breakfast in their gorgeous garden was delightful. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to revisit one day. Only tip is to be careful driving to the hotel. It's really a pedestrian town so the streets are filled with people and our navigation didn't read the one-ways the right way.

Make sure you are booking at Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber(RodT)! There are quite a few other "Rothenburg" names.

HH is a truly great Hotel. It would be wrong to call it a "Hotel" becuase it is more like a homestead. A very warm welcome awaited us despite our frantic calls earlier that we were lost on the road from Frankfurt. It is on the main road of RodT about 5 minutes walk from the main square - Markt Platz. Very convenient, yet, a little distance from the crowds, that invariably gather around the square and the Rathaus.

The garden of HH is special. Breakfast, lunch and dinner sitting out is simply wonderful and, more so, because the food is excellent. HH has a group of very friendly people who provide the most fantastic service you can expect. One interesting thing we noted is the speed of delivery of our orders - served hot. I don't know how they did it. Make sure you have a relaxing meal in that garden; it's worth it.

For a building that is obviously quite old, the owners have done very smart renovation indeed. Our room on 2F had a very large bathroom and a large bedroom and - it wasn't a suite. The cleanliness - well, it's Germany, of course - was outstanding.

If you drive up, your bags are delivered to the room and your car is driven away somewhere to be parked while you are sipping your welcome drink. All very efficiently done.

All in all, a very memorable 2 nights is a very pretty city. HH is not to be missed if you are in RodT.

Room Tip: - there is no lift so you will need to walk up and down staircases if you are on a higher floor alth...

We found this hotel to be outstanding in every category possible! The service was fantastic with so many personal touches, these lovely people couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was incredible but we were there for the 2 nights a week when the kitchen was closed at night so can't comment on dinner, but I can only imagine it would be outstanding as well. Our car was parked for us and our luggage was taken to our beautiful spacious room. This is an incredible little city to visit, and I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel. If we ever return to Rothenburg I would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Germany, but this one we thought is possibly the best of all. the service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble, the room was incredible and the food was perfect. The garden area out the back was the perfect setting for a drink, a coffee or a meal, breakfast was also served out here. There is no lift in the building, but your bags are whisked upstairs and down again by the staff. Our car was parked off site by the hotel staff and if you need it again, it will be waiting out the front for you when requested. Rothenburg has restricted driving times to be aware of, usually no access between 9am and 6pm, but this is not a problem. The stairs proved to be a bit noisy if your room backs onto them, but it is hardly noticeable. The suites are lovely and the full bath tub in the Tulip suite was well used by my wife. All in all a beautiful place to stay and the wonderful staff are worth their weight in gold. We are looking forward to staying for a whole week next trip.

Room Tip: High up is best, you get a view of the city from the top floor.

We drove our rental car through the city directly to the hotel following the excellent instructions we received by email. No sooner had we entered the lobby that we were immediately greeted warmly by one the staff -- she had been expecting us. Our luggage was whisked from our car to our lovely room and our car was parked for us while we enjoyed a refreshment in the garden. All aspects of our stay were excellent. Our room was elegant, modern and lovely. The beds and linen: perfect. Dining in the quiet, private courtyard was so enjoyable and delicious that we had two dinners, two breakfasts and a lunch there (breakfasts were included with our stay). The evening chef is wonderful so we asked ourselves "why go somewhere else when we have found perfection?". Each member of the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, personable and intelligent - ready to assist, serve or help in any way. Truly a remarkable experience in an extraordinary town.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the courtyard. Lovely!

From the great reception where they whisked us out to the garden for a welcome drink, to the great amenities, this is a first class hotel. Excellently run. Beautiful hotel on the Main Street near the must see park!

Breakfast was over the top, and served in the awesome garden.

Host did a great job orienting us to maximize our visit to Rothenburg.

Room Tip: We had the top room with loft. Great view of wall and surrounding valley
