We stayed one night here on a half board option. Our room at the back of the hotel was small and the decor was dated but it was clean and adequate for one night. The rooms at the front of the hotel looked lovely but, I suspect, were more expensive. Our evening meal was good but the wine was dear for what it was. Breakfast was excellent. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again but only if I could have a larger, better room.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a large room.

This hotel is very well situated in the walled town, and is very quaint. The room we had was very spacious with large bathroom. There were quite a few stairs, but the interior of the building is so quaint we didn't mind! There was a stork nest outside our window! The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast excellent.

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs, request a ground floor.

This hotel is inside the walled city of Rothenburg and, although our GPS directed us to turn under the archway, into the city, I was sure that no automobile was supposed to go in there. I was wrong! Once rerouted by my GPS, and upon returning to that archway, I saw another car go in so I followed. Now a believer, I followed the directions right to the front door. Very interesting, driving inside the wall on cobbled streets that are at times crowded with pedestrians! Once at the hotel we were told to leave the car right outside the door - the valet would take care of parking the car. Two days later, upon checking out, the valet retrieved our car, bringing it right back to the front door. Very nice and hassle free! (Note: another reviewer mentioned an "extra charge" for valet but we did not incur a charge - although we did tip the valet.)
The staff couldn't have been friendlier, from the desk clerk (at varying times we were served by the owners; husband, wife and daughter, I believe) to the restaurant staff. One of our electric converters (wall outlet) had failed and they were kind enough to loan us one of theirs.
The rooms couldn't have been nicer, or cleaner, and the hallway decor akin to being in a museum. A very nice, interesting, eclectic collection.
With so many dining options available in town, we only ate our breakfasts (included in rate) at Hotel Markusturm. A plentiful, traditional German buffet. The waffle maker was a nice touch, and they offered made to order eggs, as well.

We stayed in one of the front facing rooms and we had a wonderful view of the town. Beautiful, clean, efficient room. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay and they offer a good variety. Everything always fresh. Location is perfect as well. I would be thrilled to stay here again!

We only stayed on night in Rothenburg and a very pleasant stay it was. Our room was in the old part of the Hotel, it was very well equipped with everything you needed the bathroom was quite large and spotlessly clean. We had the car with us and the owner parked it for us near by. There is an extra charge for this but it was only a few Euros and it was brought back for us in the morning after breakfast. The breakfast was of a very high standard with quality items on offer. As you can see from the photographs the Hotel is in a superb location very central to all attractions.
