my friend and I only stayed for one night on our way from Italy to Northern Germany. We wanted to stay in the historic part of town so we could walk around seeing the sights and not having to take the car again after having driven all day. Parking at the hotel was an extra 5 Euro. We were offered to choose between 2 rooms. The first one didn't have furniture that appealed to us plus we could smell cigarette smoke. The other one, however, seemed new, everything nice and clean, big room and big bathroom with good quality shampoo and such.
Good mattresses! No noise from outside! Breakfast was abundant in buffet style with eggs to order. Even smoked salmon was available.
My friend was afraid that a 3* wasn't going to be good enough. This hotel, though, easily compares to 4* hotels I have been at.
